DWTS Season 21 cast rumors....anyone?

Tonight is the partner switch up. Remind me.....is anyone voted off because of the switch up? Memory fails me:shuffle:

I don't believe anyone is voted off tonight. But do they do a double elimination next week?

Maks was kind of harsh on Tamar (I thought he'd go easy since she's Val's regular partner), but I agree with his comments. Based on her reaction, I'm thinking she won't be joining the cast of Sway when the season is over. ;)

Paula and Mark were kind of a snooze. But Alek and Emma made up for that...wow. LOL at Erin the matchmaker.

Its raining here and, of course, Directv went out.:mad:
What were Aleks scores? Loved his rhumba with Emma.

Essentially (paraphrasing), he said she tried hard and it's hard to change partners, and he thought they were great when dancing individually, but when they were in hold, they weren't really in sync, not much chemistry. The comments weren't that bad but Louis looked a bit annoyed and Tamar looked offended.

Tamar always looks offended. Or maybe she's just smelling a bad odor.

Carlos and Lindsay were my favourite. I thought they should have received 40. Alexa and Derek were my second favourite. I really enjoyed bindi - her dancing was great, but I thought she didn't step with purpose or finesse tonight, at lest not as much as she usually does. I like her and Val together, though.

Thought Andy was over-marked. I was surprised he received even one 9, let alone 3.

If Alek and Emma start up something after this show is over, I would totally support that. Kind of like how I felt about Robert and Kym.

I guess Emma was so thrilled to get a partner that wasn't 30 or 40 years older than her and wasn't named Foo that her elbows flew around in glee. Poor Alek's nose. Wonder how much makeup was caked on to hide the bruising? They got hosed on scores, though. It wasn't 9 or 10 worthy but solid 8's would have been fair.

Can we please lose Paula next? Please???

I figure Paula has a strong enough fan base to stay a little longer. But lifting her skirt to show off her bloomers was childish. I am not sure how much of a fan base Hayes has. Do 15 year olds watch DWTS?

Probably not, but most NASCAR fans probably don't either and look how long Michael Waltrip lasted. ;) If Hayes has a following on social media, they'll be voting. I'd rather have Hayes stay around over Paula - at least he's trying.

Alexa was really good, but I thought Carlos and Bindi were better - I wonder if the perfect score for Alexa is an indication she didn't do well in the voting last week (the package did include a comment from Mark that she might get eliminated after messing up her steps last week) and the producers want to give her a boost to keep her around. (Or maybe it was a parting gift...but I would think/hope Paula would be gone before she would be.)

I liked the dances last night. I hope Tamar goes next because she's a downer, no matter who she dances with. Then Paula, whom I enjoyed - she was quite funny last night. I thought Mark did a superb job of making her a passable dancer.

I thought Mark was an ass for saying that to Alexa. People don't stop voting for a star based on missing a step or two, esp after they've been stellar in preceding weeks. Way to shake someone's confidence.

My favorite was Carlos, followed by Bindi & then Alexa. I like Nick but I think he's the worst of the men. His movements are too exaggerated. Hayes is maturing right in front of our eyes. He didn't dance like a 15yr old.

I wanted to smack Mark for making Alexa's minor mistake about him (all his I'm so disappointed comments). Wish she could stick with Derek, and Bindi can keep Val.

I also wanted to smack Whitney, who I usually like for basically looking like she doesn't give a damn during the practices with Nick.

I figured the conspiracy theorists would have a field day with the Nick/Witney package. Set up to make both of them look bad.

Andy's scores were totally inflated, but he looked so much better with Sharna than with Allison. He had someone teach him and partner him correctly. Never going to be a great dancer, but huge improvement.

Mark did a nice job with Paula. Maybe that's his next job on the show, partnering older contestants. He sure isn't getting the job done with Alexa the way Derek did.

I've thought Alexa did really well from the 1st with Mark. Other than the small mistake last week they have been in the top 3 or 4 every week.

Yes, she's been doing well from the start. The melodrama of the scripted packages kinda lets people forget what's been going on in the weeks before. Of course Derek had to get the first perfect score of the season...because Derek. I actually thought what happened with the scoring for Alexa was concerning. Perhaps they were making up for the fact that they were way harsh on her mistake the week before and wanted to give her a cushion. But I thought she was overscored, so the fact that they felt the need to do that might be a hint that she's not getting enough votes.

Agree. Do you think Alek has been getting lots of viewer votes and was thus under marked this week?
I can imagine he would be a viewer favorite. I was just surprised he got such good judges comments and then got 7's.

I'm not sure what was up with that. I suspect he's getting a lot of "cute guy" votes, military votes, and underdog votes. He seems very popular with the rest of the cast, so I don't think the producers have any reason to do a bad package on him or to put ideas in the judges heads. The only thing I can think of is that his votes might have been down two weeks ago and they wanted to make sure his fanbase votes in droves this week.

I just read that Leah Remini will sub for Erin Andrews while she broadcasts the World Series.

Oh gawd ..... I know other people like her, but I can't stand her. She is way WAY to annoying and bitchy for me. :P

So this week Olivia Newton John is the guest judge and they're recreating famous dances from movies and music videos. The dances are...

  • Alek and Lindsay – “Jailhouse Rock” from Jailhouse Rock (this could be good)
  • Andy and Allison – “Good Morning” from Singing In The Rain (ugh, way for Allison to ruin one of my favourite movies)
  • Bindo and Derek – “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life” from Dirty Dancing (They're already nailing the lift)
  • Carlos and Witney – “Pony” from Magic Mike (will tWitch make an appearance?)
  • Hayes and Emma – “You’re The One That I Want” from Grease (Olivia will be overly nice when judging this, I bet)
  • Nick and Sharna – “You Should Be Dancing” from Saturday Night Fever (Olivia will also be really nice for this one too)
  • Paula and Louis – “Vogue” by Madonna (oh dear lord)
  • Tamar and Val – “Rhythm Nation” by Janet Jackson (could be good!)

Hasn't the Dirty Dancing routine been done enough on DWTS? Also, Tommy and Peta did Jailhouse Rock just last year.
