Why exactly do you bash people who don't like Moulin Rouge and P/C themselves when the question is an open question (to which you can answer yes or no if my grammar is correct) in a non V/M fan thread, that has nothing to do with P/C ?
Why don't you learn French instead so that you know the worlds for "we might have won" or "we probably would have won but you never know what else could have happened, it's sports".
Also why shouldn't Gabby retweet a highly praising article by a well known critic in a worldwide well known paper especially when the author cautiously writes :
"as a dance critic, I judge skating by different rules, . ..."Ms. Virtue and Mr. Moir I’ll never tire of their skill — their consummate speed and control ".
Why don't you write the New York Times and submit your own article to bash the dance critic and P/C ? That would be much more efficient as I am sure readers would be very interested in your opinion.
Why should it be OK then for you to write about their "underwhelming program" in a public forum, as if stating universal truth rather than a personal opinion when it's not OK for a professional journalist to write in his newspaper in a careful way?
And the podium, yes you're right they made an error. Yet, is it that difficult for you to show a bit of empathy for two people who were completely distressed, Gabriella holding tears that she would wipe later on and Guillaume looking like a fish lost in the desert ?.
You should think about all the other podiums P/C have been on and how warm and funny it was; you should think about how composed they are both when they lose or win over V/M. You should also think about all the skaters they are getting along with really well : Chock/Bates, WeaPo, Hubell/Donohue, Capellini/Lanotte, Bobrova/Soloviev,Stepanova/Bukin, everyone in Gadbois (Danish, Spanish, French ...) As the british ESPN put it at Worlds "it's amazing how other skaters accept their dominance". If I am correct,that's what you get when you're respected, kind and humble, isn't it ?.
Finally, I haven't been watching MR as I deeply dislike the music. However, I have been rewatching other V/M' free dances and almost every single short dance several times for years now.

I legit had no idea this was about a specific skating team's program. And I definitely still watch Moulin Rouge (the film).
In fact, I'm inspired now to go rewatch V/M's Moulin Rouge. I was rather distracted by the competitive excitement and emotion of all the programs and scores that came before them to really get into V/M's MR Olympic program in real time. But yeah, they did an absolutely remarkable job sticking with their vision and then retooling MR post GPF. I love their vision, dedication and self-belief, which evolved over the years. I'd probably have enjoyed V/M so much more during their early competitive career had not there been so many of their ubers (of course not you 
Maybe V/M should have skated a program to Braveheart.
