I'm surprised that Hanna Harrell only had the 6th highest components.
That is odd. I didn't get a chance to see her. Tried really hard to stay awake, but I lost the battle about six or seven skaters before her.I'm surprised that Hanna Harrell only had the 6th highest components.
I was sort of zoning out by the time she skated but I could have sworn the last time I saw her she was a brunette and now she's a bleach blondeThat is odd. I didn't get a chance to see her. Tried really hard to stay awake, but I lost the battle about six or seven skaters before her.
This is a really interesting field on the Women's side with lots of women still in the running to qualify from both the Pacific Coast and Midwestern sections (Harrell is the only Eastern sectional competitor, I believe). For easy access, spokane results link again (its far back and im not home with my bookmarks)...

Kate Wang (Pacific Coast section) - Spokane will be her competition debut as a senior.
And he might make it if Maxim Naumov isn't healthy enough to compete. Thanks Sylvia for the list! Pretty exciting to see Liam do so well in Spokane and potentially put himself in a decent place to challenge for Top 10 at Nationals! So by my calculations, all of Jordan Moeller, Emmanuel Savary, Trevor Bucek, and Eric Prober missed getting both minimums- so I believe the only alternate to Nationals who has them in Senior Men is Max Lake.
Usually skaters with top 5 byes from the previous year's Nationals are not replaced if they WD.And he might make it if Maxim Naumov isn't healthy enough to compete.

That does seem like tough calling. Usually at ISU events we would just see that called as a triple lutz & the other jump or jumps would be called invalid. In this case she turned the plan combination into a sequence, and sequences are 80% of the jumps base value.Looking at protocols for Spokane, can someone explain Hanna's first jumping pass? Why did she not get at least full credit for the 3z?

Just watched the replay - Hanna landed the opening Rippon 3Lz fine but then did a turn on her landing edge before "stepping" (so not a true half loop/1Eu) into a 2S so I guess the tech. panel did not count it as being in combo OR a sequence. It was confusing because she got positive goe. Something must have gone wrong with her Euler.
I agree but on the bright side, now that it's stripped of color she can try whatever she wants next... might I suggest auburn? It would really suit her.Side note: I'm not fond of her new hair color.
