Cross-posting:
Here's a new short Q and A that Jason did when FOI (Friends on Ice) was held in Japan.

He talks about when he will skate the new FS, his costumes for this season, and a possibility to do a competition before the US Nats.

After Kai Kovar’s disappointing skate in Istanbul I think both Beck Strommer and Jacob Sanchez should have their second JGP assignments confirmed, if it hasn’t happened already.
It didn't get better for Kovar in the free. So USFS should comfortably be able to give Strommer and Sanchez's second assignments, and maybe save the last spot at JGP #7 for Martynov provisionally.

How long do we have to wait for GP assignments?

Maybe... Kirk Hagueto went for a 3A in his SP at Mid Atlantics yesterday. It was downgraded, but I could see him being in the mix for the 2nd Yerevan assignment if Martynov doesn't do well next week.

Mids Senior men LP is going on live on Tim David's channel:

Thanks, Tim!
Tim, Thank you so much for the livestream it was such a joy to watch Emanuel Savary. What a beautiful skater. Shame about the 4S fall as he did a beautiful one in the warm-up.

Does anyone know…Is Jacob Sanchez going to a second JrGP and/or a CS? I’m in contact with a relation here at TeleOnce TV & I want to keep supporting Jacob.

Jacob Sanchez now has the highest NQS total score (236.47) after decisively winning the Junior Men's event at the Middle Atlantics NQS in NYC this past weekend - his protocol sheets: https://twitter.com/SylviaUnseen/status/1700936322788049071
It was a very competitive event (Patrick Blackwell in 5th place landed 3A cleanly in both programs) -- Aleksandr "Sasha" Fegan, who will make his JGP debut at #7 in Armenia, shared this reel video of podium photos (""Proud to have taken home the Silver in a hard fought NQS Middle Atlantics this weekend. Scored my Personal Best of 196.34."): https://www.instagram.com/reel/CxCUdcuO056/
Bronze went to "Happy Kirk" Haugeto (189.67) and 4th place to Lucius Kazanecki (181.88), both of whom debuted on the JGP last year.
Sasha's younger brother, Filip, won Juvenile Boys group B at Middle Atlantics, and is pictured with Sasha in the final 2 podium pics of the video.
The funny podium pic of an upside down Kirk -- with his legs being supported by Jacob and Lucius -- also can be seen here (shared by a Japanese fan with Sasha's permission): https://twitter.com/kote1102/status/1700720191343309173

ETA that Taira Shinohara, who now holds the 2nd highest NQS total score (201.20) among the Junior men, landed 3A cleanly in both programs for the first time - his clips from a Chicago club competition this past weekend: https://www.instagram.com/p/CxBj2sdxCjC/

I meant to reply to this earlier but forgot:
With his 236.47 at mid-Atlantics, Jacob Sanchez has taken over the lead for the YOG spot
Top 3 age-eligible men (born between Jan. 1, 2006 & December 31, 2009) in the NQS standings:

Sanchez 236.47
Kovar 197.01 [eta: copied wrong score :shuffle:] 222.97 (Glacier Falls, Senior)
Shinohara 201.20

(The next 2 highest NQS scores in Junior: Strommer 197.01 was born in 2005 and and Fegan 196.34 in 2010.)

ETA the link to the 2024 YOG info thread in GSD: https://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/th...ames-jan-19-feb-1-gangwon-south-korea.110558/

Jacob should be getting a 2nd JGP (he is listed as a placeholder for #6 POL in the ISU entries) but USFS has not yet officially named him to one.
I’d love to see Jacob in Poland…skating both programs as he did in NYC! (Bangkok was half great.) Youth Olympics in South Korea 🇰🇷 would be good too, should he go…as I’m keeping my TeleOnce relative informed…

The WYOG are in Korea, not China.

According to ISU bio, Tomoki's coach is now Mie Hamada only?
Where is he training?
I've heard in Japan but no details have come from Tomoki himself since he posted back in May about working with Mark Pillay and Jeff Buttle on his programs in Toronto:
SP (last season's "Romani Holiday") with Pillay: https://www.instagram.com/p/CsKfUwGuNgo/
FS (Finlandia by Jean Sibelius - sounds intriguing!) with Buttle: https://www.instagram.com/p/Csc0ar3OTWT/

(I've also posted this news in the "Coaching Change Thread" that's pinned at the top of GSD.)

Joseph Klein [M2] 73.74 + 138.48 = 212.22 (Battle of the Blades, 1st)
Today Joe Klein shared a clip of his clean 3A (8.00 base value + 1.87 GOE = 9.87 points) in his FS at Battle of the Blades NQS comp. last month: https://www.instagram.com/reel/CxJY_Lgx07Q/
Triple Axel from competition in Fort Wayne! Sorry for the late post, but I wanted to thank @risportskates and @johnwilsonblades for providing me with the equipment to perform as well as express my excitement for the rest of the season!

Anna spoke with Jimmy Ma at Cranberry Cup International last month - this article was timed to be published before he competes at CS Autumn Classic this week in Pierrefonds, Quebec:

Daniel Martynov, 17, won the bronze in Osaka! :) His FS with two 3A (4th in FS; his 3A was also cleanly landed in his SP): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USpMyb2uiso
He shared a clip of him receiving the medal: https://www.instagram.com/reel/CxQZ4tzr7vI/ (his IG stories show cute moments of being besieged for autographs by youngsters at his rink upon his return :D)
He set 2 ISU personal bests: 207.98 total & 137.23 in FS. He should get the final TBA in Armenia now.

Michael Xie, 18, set 3 ISU PBs in Osaka (204.13 / 63.62 / 140.51) - his 3rd place FS (finished 4th overall): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=swiVSoZtBJ8
His post afterwards with photos & clips: https://www.instagram.com/p/CxUMI-BRJq6/
Excerpt:
It was absolutely incredible to close out my time on the junior grand prix circuit with a standing ovation in front of an audience that respects and understands the sport so much 🙇. I really hope to one day return to Japan and skate again to the best of my abilities 💪.
