I don't think they actually got on the plane. Or maybe they decided on the first leg of their trip and never left the US.

On a teleconference about the team gold medal, Madison Chock and Evan Bates said they had, in fact, withdrawn late Sunday from Four Continents Championships because they were still too ill. They won a 5th U.S. title while ill Saturday.

USFS stated they would announce the Jr Worlds team on Feb 5th. I suppose they could announce it today instead but it won't surprise me if they wait until Monday.

USFS stated they would announce the Jr Worlds team on Feb 5th. I suppose they could announce it today instead but it won't surprise me if they wait until Monday.

Junior ice dancers Eckert / Cui split up yesterday.

Amy dropped the bomb that she wanted to end the partnership during the meeting with Igor and the other coaches to discuss plans for the upcoming season. Both the coaches and Kenny were blindsided.

Kenny will post something on his Instagram to announce the team's breakup.

Essentially - a series of injuries derailed their entire season, culminating with her having ankle surgery a week ago to remove a bone cyst. They are still a team and now focusing on next season.

FWIW - Doesn't sound like a country switch is in the offing.

I'm not sure what future this team has after finishing 9th at Junior Worlds. Doesn't Jeffrey age out now and i can't see them moving up the ladder in Seniors with all of the teams ahead of them.

At this time, yes, he is aging out, however there are rumors floating around that the junior male age max increase might apply to not just pairs but also ice dance.

Frankly, while Yahli seems nice enough as a person and skater, I'm quietly rooting for them and Green/Parsons to split and for Green to team up with Chen.

Given they've been together less than a year and her lack of experience competing, a top ten finish at junior worlds doesn't seem so terrible.

As of I know, Lucas Appel of the USA is the first Solo Dancer to represent the country internationally at competition. He scored 68.66 points at the Łódź, Poland international today. Great representation from the USA overseas! He sits in first place going into the Free Dance.
