I very well may have missed this, but did C/B withdraw before they got on the plane? Or did they decide on the way or once they got there?

I don't think they actually got on the plane. Or maybe they decided on the first leg of their trip and never left the US.I very well may have missed this, but did C/B withdraw before they got on the plane? Or did they decide on the way or once they got there?
On a teleconference about the team gold medal, Madison Chock and Evan Bates said they had, in fact, withdrawn late Sunday from Four Continents Championships because they were still too ill. They won a 5th U.S. title while ill Saturday.
Thanks, I corrected my post. Was surprised by this, so looked on his twitter. He says they decided Sunday night which matches the original leak from Dave Lease
USFS stated they would announce the Jr Worlds team on Feb 5th. I suppose they could announce it today instead but it won't surprise me if they wait until Monday.Jr worlds list has been sent, should be realized publicly soon
An official announcement should come this afternoon but they do work in mysterious ways. The team has been selected though.USFS stated they would announce the Jr Worlds team on Feb 5th. I suppose they could announce it today instead but it won't surprise me if they wait until Monday.

Gotcha. For some reason I had the 5th in my head, but it would be great if they're announced today!FWIW, on these pages dated Jan 27 and Jan 28, USFS says:
"The ISU World Junior Figure Skating Championships 2024 team will be announced on Friday, February 2."

Found a video of Pate/Bye's performanceIt seems like Eva Pate and Logan Bye will be performing tonight at the Sk8 to Elimin8 Cancer event in Detroit, hosted by Scott Hamilton.
Flor/Des got silver in senior and Hauer/Starr got bronze in junior at Egna Dance Trophy. Wilma Alberti got really cool shots of both teams performing (including F/D in that upside down lift):

Here's Eckert's post about the split up https://www.instagram.com/p/C3WLKy6LWT5/Junior ice dancers Eckert / Cui split up yesterday.
Amy dropped the bomb that she wanted to end the partnership during the meeting with Igor and the other coaches to discuss plans for the upcoming season. Both the coaches and Kenny were blindsided.
Kenny will post something on his Instagram to announce the team's breakup.
“One of the main things we really have been trying to focus on is to not just hone in on this season but instead kind of look towards long term,” Chen explained. “Of course, we want to do our best in every competition, but we want to also set ourselves up for future seasons. Right now, we are incredibly grateful to be where we are because a lot of the teams that we're competing against have obviously been working together for a long time. To have people around us really believing in us and giving us opportunities to keep growing and showing that we are a serious team is very special.”
I'm not sure what future this team has after finishing 9th at Junior Worlds. Doesn't Jeffrey age out now and i can't see them moving up the ladder in Seniors with all of the teams ahead of them.New interview with Pedersen/Chen: https://www.usfigureskating.org/news/article/pedersen-and-chen-eye-season-ending-podium
At this time, yes, he is aging out, however there are rumors floating around that the junior male age max increase might apply to not just pairs but also ice dance.I'm not sure what future this team has after finishing 9th at Junior Worlds. I hope Green does not pair with Chen under any circumstancesAt this time, yes, he is aging out, however there are rumors floating around that the junior male age max increase might apply to not just pairs but also ice dance.
Frankly, while Yahli seems nice enough as a person and skater, I'm quietly rooting for them and Green/Parsons to split and for Green to team up with Chen.
how come?I hope Green does not pair with Chen under any circumstances
