And Kolesnik has recently tried to get a Russian girl to leave her partnership. Russian federation would not allow the breakup

He gave an interview immediately after the breakup about his intent to look overseas. And has posted on Instagram story of his ability to skate for Russia based on his mother’s genealogy

Contemplating recruiting a partner from overseas isn't the same thing as switching countries.

Moreover, if your latter anecdote is correct, he wouldn't have been planning on switching countries. RusFed can't stop a skater from switching partners if they want to, unless they're seeking a release.

I understand your skepticism but at this level, Russian fed can withhold their support. And the parties involved are well connected

There's nothing surprising about a young ice dancer who has lost a partner being open to skating with a talented athlete from another country.

Vadym would or will need a release, no? (And typically, they are long in coming if you have medaled at Junior Worlds). He's young enough. He could do this & commit the time.

Not every prospective young partner might be willing to wait. I wish Avonley & Vadym both the best. Both wonderful young ice dancers and I will miss their partnership.

How long do we have to wait for GP assignments?

Or perhaps the Rus Fed heard through informal channels that the USFS wasn't likely to release Vadym so easily and they chose to discourage the partnership.

I have yet to see any public/social media announcements from either DelCamp/Somerville or Tkachenko/Kiliakov (eta link to their joint IG - most recent post on June 11): https://www.instagram.com/tkachenkokiliakov/

Katarina Wolfkostin posted yesterday that she & Jeffrey Chen will make their season debut next week at Dallas Cannon Classic: https://www.instagram.com/p/CQ1UtrSriSv/

The Browns' joint Instagram (thebrownsofficial_) is doing a Q&A in their stories right now and have replied that their program music is "How Ya Like Me Now" (RD) and Muse (FD) - also to be debuted in Dallas next week.

Thanks to @platniumangel for posting the link to the Dallas Cannon Classic starting orders/results page in the Kiss & Cry section here: https://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/th...fying-competitions.108356/page-3#post-6018726

New team listed in Senior: Hilary Asher (9th at 2021 Nationals in Senior with Ryan O'Donnell) and Dmitriy Bogomol, 21, who previously competed at 2018 U.S. Nationals in Novice with Maxine Weatherby (ETA that his IPS profile says he's based in Coral Springs, Florida with John Kerr's group).

New team listed in Junior: Kristina Bland and Matthew Sperry
He's a member of the 2021 U.S. Figure Skating Scholastic Honors Team, according to this local Virginia article, and previously competed with Zoe Sensenbrenner at the Novice level.
Bland previously won the Intermediate event at the 2020 U.S. Dance Final with Gabe Francis.

Caroline Green was interviewed on the Midnight Blues & Other Musings podcast. She said her and Michael's first competition this season will be the Lake Placid International (in Norwood, MA this season).
