A Coldplay rut? Two programs is a rut?

Two programs in three seasons can look like it honestly. When they first announced it, I thought it was them attempting to go backwards and recreate the excitement and mostly goodwill that surrounded them that season. Of course, as long as Maia and Alex are happy with that direction and their actual skating is top notch, then they should be fine. They seem to have an actual vision for this "trilogy" as they call it.

Also, humour. Having a sense of humour and not taking things too seriously has always been part of FSU.

Just because I express an opinion about something that I would like to change doesn't mean there aren't other things I enjoy here.
Telling someone to pack up their toys and go home because they express something they would like to change is a bit uncalled for.

Honestly I think you're over dramatizing a bit.
Allezfred's snark can be a bit off putting at times but they are not curtailing free speech IMO.

I get what you're saying, but I honestly can't blame them. They are a hunted team nationally and are battling for the podium.
Coldplay was a breakthrough program and season for them.
As much as I love to see risk, Ice dance is a bloodbath in the top ten.
I can't blame teams for playing it safe or going with the familiar or reusing programs etc. Olympics always creates this situation.
I like Coldplay and I loved that program from them.
I look forward to seeing it.

Unfortunately I hate both of these Ed Sheeran songs with a passion .... Usually I try to accept whatever music the skaters have chosen, even if it's not my favorite, but this .... Also there's no Latin flavor. It feels more like a hip-hop or club SD. It feels like they should've used this music last season, not this season. And Gabriella's dress would be great for a Latin, but it has nothing to do with this music and feels totally off.

I agree about the non-Latin-ness of the music, but OTOH, I would rather hear a variety and have teams get creative than a repeat of 2012, when we heard Mas Que Nada (and 2 or 3 other songs) about 300 times. And the way the rules are written, it sounds like that (creativity) is what the ISU had in mind. I thought P/C did a good job expressing the music and yes, Gabby is definitely the star in this dance, which I don't find unusual for Latin dances.

I didn't know tango was initially considered for the SD this season - agree, that would have been better.

yup, coz only v/m ubers are nationalistic and irrational, and subject to more curtailing with free speech. p/c "fans" are not. obviously, only p/c fans are rational as obviously, comments like "trashy", "slutty", "cheap" are rational and not nationalistic

^not really zilam. I just find you sometimes a bit reactionary and you tend to exaggerate.
Although I do agree you make valid points at times.
