Current season is well underway, what are your favorite programs, costumes and surprises thus far?

haven't had a chance to watch a lot of skating this season so far, but i love shae lynn's choreography for miura/kihara's short program. they were on fire today, and no doubt it helps to have such a thoughtfully put together program to skate

Could we talk about costume design for a moment? Today I had the jr. Russian ladies and their impressive triple/triples on kind of as background for my to do list. I never liked the kind of spider web or crisscross design we see on some dresses. But what bothers me is the length of their skirts. They end up looking long waisted with short legs. Is this merely a trend of some sort of rule?

Russian ladies trend that has been adopted by far too many non-Russian women, though I feel like it's kind of fading away in the last year or two. It may come roaring back whenever we see Russian women internationally again, though.
