They messed around and now they gonna find out. Better fit, hugh impact. Love this for them. One of the songs of the 90's and they have the chops to pull it off.

I like them a lot and I think Christina has grown into a fantastic skater but Anthony….whoo boy. Let’s just say the improvements he has shown compared to Christina are marginal at best
Leave my Anthony alone. He is clutch everytime. He is not a narcissistic, pretentious old you know what and he presents his partner, like, chefs kiss. Don't come for me now. :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

oh ok... so they're going back to it for the olympics? was there a reason given? i'm sorry. i did a search to look for the answers myself but didn't find anything.
i guess their Turandot FD didn't give the impact they were hoping for (especially after Olympic qualifier), they kept getting the ! for the choreo step both at Kinoshita and Skate to Milano

I am sure this has been answered but I haven't been following things closely but has music rights been a bigger problem this year than in previous seasons? Has something happened recently to make it more difficult?

Yes, skaters now I have to make sure music has been cleared by the artist. they have provided websites to check if songs have been cleared. Otherwise, there are fees paid by I guess the skaters or the network if it’s being broadcast. If you go to watch videos from the cranberry from August most of the videos will be without the music. Not sure if the United States is more sensitive to broadcasting artists music than other countries or what but yes, there has been a change.

How much are the fees if the music is not cleared? And how is someone like Madonna willing to waive her music but some random interpretation of a classical music piece?

Peter Beaumont found a partner! He and Amanda Urban will be skating for Canada. She's a former solo ice dancer from the U.S. (although from her Instagram, it looks like she's tried partnered dance before), so I guess she'll be needing her Canadian citizenship.

I had been wondering why no one went with a 1990s swing revival approach to the rhythm dance, and now I wonder if it's that no one thought of it, or if anyone did, but was told it wasn't "1990s enough" because it was a deliberately retro style...
probably wouldn't be considered "upbeat" or "dance party" enough given how many people have been told to change their music already

Kaitlyn Weaver did a presentation about the different genres and themes of 90s music at the ice dance committee meeting at Worlds, and I don’t think the 90s swing revival was mentioned, FWIW.

Should we be concerned about ALL of this? Are FB/C already done for?

Well, I think everyone should be concerned with Judy as a TS. She was on the panel at Skate to Milano and we all saw how THAT went.

In the live calling, TS1 (Bowness) calls Women and TS2 (Blumberg) calls Men.

If any member of the Technical Panel sees a reason to review an element, he/she can call for it after the first call.
Judy is very tough, but fair across the board. I say "Bring it on!" If the dancers commit errors, now it the time to know and they can fix it before the end of the season. However, as we have come to learn, GOE can make lower levels insignificant.
