The Amazing Race - Season 38

Poor Tucker and Eric! I hate when a strong team gets taken out like that. Especially when Chelsie and dad get constantly lost - i was hoping they would finally be eliminated as I find them so annoying.

I don't watch BB so not sure about the drama - at first I didn't like Jas and Jag but now they've grown on me - maybe that's how he ended up winning BB?

I am hoping Joseph and Adam for the win!

Jag is a nice guy but him winning every competition on BB got so boring, and I forsee him and Jas bulldozing their way to the end here too. I really want a Joesph/Adam win too but I fear they’ll make a dumb mistake or two to take themselves out.

Very excited that they’ll be in Milan this week so I can get a sneak peek for my Olympics trip!

Go Adam! Stepping up to do that second task after about near passing out. :respec:

The flowers and the bridge required patience, which means even if I woulda made it this far, this leg woulda taken me out.

Loved the little black kitty sitting there judging Joseph and Adam building the bridge. Then mocks 'you fools, I have no time for you' as he struts away. :cat:

Dad and Chels driving in a circle for 30 minutes. I knew eventually directions would take them out.

I'm rooting for Joseph and Adam to win.

Oh I am so glad Chels and dad are gone I couldn't take them any longer getting so lost every time!
Jag and Jas most likely will be our winners - I don't mind them but I am more attached to Joseph and Adam

Someone in charge is definitely a cat person. I think we’ve seen one in every single episode this year.

Just caught up last night.

Shocked at that elimination of the strongest team.
Cannot stand Izzy.
Jag and Jas have grown on me. I think it will be a shock if they don’t win.
Like the brothers, too, and hope the one who is diabetic doesn’t have a serious medical emergency.

The scene where the contestants were chasing Phil around the mat to hug him with their poop-covered selves was hilarious.

No one watched the Amazing Race this week yet? Holy cow, I can’t believe it was a cliff hangar. I don’t like Izzy much but I felt sorry for her trying over and over again in the Braille typewriter roadblock. But then she kept rushing every time so no wonder she kept making mistakes.

Yeah, at the cliffhanger. My bet is that Izzy and Paige don't make it, mainly because they announced Wednesday that they had gotten married, which I figured they did to coincide with their last day in the Race. Just a guess.

Izzy's typing speed on that Braille typewriter was really impressive, even though she made mistakes. She did it four times in the same time it took Joseph to do one and made only one mistake each time. If she had slowed down just a tiny bit, she would have killed it in one round. Watching that took me right back to medical transcription class where we had to type the same doctor's report over and over until we got it exactly right. I spent the entire semester on it and never did get through it without making at least one mistake. Shudder.

It would be really surprising if Jag and Jas don't win, but all it takes is one bad leg. I am already having palpitations over that rappel down this really tall building challenge.

I’ll also be surprised if Jag and Jas don’t win. I never watched BB so it doesn’t bother me if they won BB and may now win TAR. I like them. I feel like they are not whining very much (maybe because they’re good at everything) and not griping too much about the other teams.

How can Jag and Jas be good at every.single.task.
They are pay close attention to instructions, they approach all the tasks in a calm and methodical way, and they don't freak out when things are not going well.

That has been true of most (definitely not all) of the dominant challenge winners. They kind of remind me of the Cowboys, only they aren't quite that stoic. But their approach to challenges is really similar.

As soon as Phil said Moulin Rouge I knew we was gonna get some classic dancing scenes.

I would have had no patience for the braille machine. I don't even quite understand the explanation of how it worked.

The locations of those statues looked like they were like an hour apart from each other, and then figure in traffic?! Were those places actually closer together than they looked on the map because to me it looked like it was at least an hour drive from place to place to place. Anyone been to Paris and can look at that map and say, naw it's like 20 minutes to each site .... or wow, those are like an hour apart!

Welp, I'm prepared for the anti-climatic Jas and Jag win. Kinda takes the excitement out of it when one team is so dominant. Of course, anything can happen, but they seem so prepared for any kind of task that gets thrown at them. How do they know how to do like every single task so well!

OMG!!! They don't tell us who gets there in 3rd before "to be continued"??!!!!???? I'm sitting here clenching my hands, screaming for Joseph and Adam to get there first and then "to be continued .... ". That's just mean!!!!!! I better not accidently stumble upon any spoilers of who the Top 3 are before next Wednesday or I will be so ticked off!

But come on Joseph and Adam!!!!! Please be Team #3 and win this thing!!!!!!

Well at least Joseph and Adam made the Final 3!

The rappelling! :yikes: I don't know man ..... I don't think I could do that. I think I would be too scared to move and release that rope correctly.

Cookie Monster and Phil eatin' cookies.

That Final Leg should be designed so it has to all be done on foot. I don't like it when it relies on you getting a good taxi driver.

Well that was anti-climactic and predictable. On the Final Task, they should be completely isolated from each other doing the puzzle/final challenge so they can't see or hear each other. Once you know the first team leaves, that deflates you. Sure anything can happen, but they had to all know it was over once Jas and Jag took off. Like each Team goes into a separate room or something so they don't even know each other is even there.

Now somebody find an article that says how far behind each other they were checking in. I wish they would show the time Team #1, Team #2 and Team #3 checks in so you can see if it was really close or not. Like was it 5 minutes or 3 hours between 1 and 2, and how far behind was Team #3.

They weren't my emotional favorite, but I have to admire their gameplay. They really only had competition from Tucker and Eric so once they were gone...

Phil had some great moments this season, and this was one of them. Also running from poop-covered racers at the pit stop.

I agree with this.

I enjoyed this season a lot, but it took a few episodes for it to grow on me. I am okay with Jas and Jag winning; they raced well, they didn’t whine so much, and they seemed mostly respectful of the other racers. Also glad Adam and Joseph made it into the final 3.
