The former figure skater said ‘I do’ to Fox sports producer Todd Kapostasy Saturday evening in an ultra-romantic affair at dreamy Middleton Place in Charleston, South Carolina, after two years of dating.
Lipinski, 35, walked down a 200-foot aisle in a Reem Acra gown featuring a 20-foot tulle skirt designed by Laura Basci, and Charlotte Olympia pumps. Her bridesmaids wore floral head wreaths, while the flower girls clutched baskets made by Lipinski’s mom, Pat.

Excerpt re. the food:

Highlights include chicken and waffles two ways (fried chicken in a waffle cone with maple bacon remoulade and fried chicken on mini waffles) for an appetizer and local fish as a main course.
“I wanted to incorporate the city into the menu, so we’re featuring fresh, local fish,” explains Lipinski. “And for sides we have ultimate comfort foods like mac and cheese.”

I assume People has bought the rights to Tara's "exclusive" wedding photos as well.

I was listening to the T&J wedding countdown podcast, and Tara mentioned that she and Todd are going away on a honeymoon/summer vacation for about 43 days, traveling through Malta, Greece, Italy, Thailand, Vietnam...

Congratulations to them! Tara seems like a very sweet person, and so in love.
I know she has that huge house on the beach in South Carolina and had assumed her wedding would be there. Getting married on a plantation is pretty disturbing. I'm guessing this didn't even occur to her. She just wanted a "beautiful setting." And that's a real problem. We white people have the unfortunate privilege of being able to bury our heads in the sand about these issues. She could have gotten married at a botanical garden or an arboretum or on the beach.
But I'm happy for her other than that! Not really sure how else to end my post .

On the wedding countdown podcast (Episode #40), Johnny sounded a bit bummed that Tara was going away for so long and they won't be able to do any podcasts until she returns. Poor guy -- he probably wanted to go with them, but I guess he'll be honeymooning with them in spirit. I'm thinking part of the reason that Tara & Johnny didn't do the Kentucky Derby this year is because Tara was too busy putting the final touches on her imminent wedding. By the time of the wedding countdown podcast (a day or so before her wedding), Tara said she had nothing to do because everything was ready to go. Boy, she and her Mom rocked the planning details to a divine Tara 'T' apparently! And lots of money sure helps.

Seems as if Tara had perfect luck at the Olympics; luck in finding her spirit animal in JW; luck in love with ToddKap; and such lucky romantic marriage proposal, engagement celebrations, wedding shower, wedding rehearsal evening, and a magical wedding day with gorgeous flowers and exclusive pics to come in People. Probably the only thing that didn't happen was her patented 'Tara scream,' since she has apparently learned how to ratchet down hysterical excitement. She looked lovely in her dress. The sleeveless look does work for some ladies. It's not my style, but I love the color, embroidery, and silhouette of her dress. Cool that they are so happy together. And it looks like some 40+ days of exciting honeymoon adventures too.

Money doesn't buy happiness

Def true! However, money absolutely don't hurt, especially if you know how to use your money and have good taste. If you follow Instagram pics of TnT romance, seemingly these two are laid back, know how to have fun, appear to get along like a house on fire, and seem to be very happy together in managing a peripatetic relationship. Todd is teasingly cool with J&T being spirit animals too! But obviously Todd was intent on keepin' Tara darling all to himself for the 40+ adventurous honeymoon travels!

Todd hails from northeast Ohio which gains points in my book. Plus, and most importantly, he seems like an absolutely amazing guy. That's way more than half the battle, ladies, when you are hoping to get hitched. Guy has got to adore you and be down-to-earth with a rockin' sense of humor, and ToddKap seems to have that down to a divine Todd 'T'. Wait, it seems I'm repeating myself. But well, if it works, it kinda seems to work, eh! Being friends first always matters and makes the biggest difference in the long run.

From listening to the podcast, Tara seems to be pretty high maintenance. A bit neurotic, a bit high-strung, type A, expensive tastes, needing everything to be her "vision..." I think she's been indulged for a long time, or has gotten used to being able to indulge herself. (Out of J&T, Johnny is actually the LESS high maintenance of the two and often seems to keep her calm in stressful situations.) But she also seems to be a kind, sweet person who is surrounded by people who love her and who she loves. So I think it's all fine, so long as Todd balances out her type A-ness by being laid back. She said the 40-day honeymoon was her idea and she had to convince Todd to take that time off. I'll miss the podcast during that time, but what an adventure they'll have.
