Good morning!

Lee had a great night, and is looking well this morning. I've been reading her some of your comments, every day. Sometimes she smiles, sometimes she tears in, she recognizes your screen names and nods her head... your wishes and thoughts touch her. Thank you@

In response to your request for an address to send cards to, Lee's Principal (Lane) says you can send them to the school and they will deliver mail to us at the hospital weekly, until we get home. Our dinky little mailbox fills up too fast.

The mailing address is:

Thank you all for holding Lee in your thoughts; I can't help but think the thoughts and prayers of people from all over are helping to hold her up!

Gerry

I've been following but not posting and am letting out a huge sigh of relief. So so happy that she is in such great hands there and is on her way back to you (and us).

That's what we went through with my dad @mysticchic meningitus and encephalitis from west Nile virus.. it was incredible to watch the journey back from the coma. I also found those online groups helpful for information an the local brain injury group. So much easier if you can connect with others who have experienced it. Hopefully Lee will slowly wake up an start the journey back, sending positive energy every day.. @mysticchic brain on fire is a good book??
That's what I had. Mengoencephalitis from HSV. How is he doing?
@Gerry I am so happy she is starting to come around!! I will keep praying

Wonderful news, interspersed with some YIKES. Thank you so much for keeping us updated, @Gerry.

he had a good recovery from his Mengoencephalitis - took a few years and still had some issues with noise/crowds and a bit of depression etc but never lost his sense of humour - even back driving etc., unfortunately he did pass away earlier this year but not from that (he was 83) and we are very grateful for the few years we did get him back after the illness which doesn't have very good outcomes. Hope you are doing okay!
