An hour ago, they took Lee off the last Inotrope (BP medication), so now she is physically stable on her own.... and they are weaning her off life support, so in a few days she will be au natural.

She is sleepy and not very responsive today, but that isn't unusual at this stage. Everybody needs a down day once in a while.

Thank you for the thoughts and prayers, from both of us; this had been a long ordeal, just to get to here, and I'm sure there is still a long way to go.

If you guys have an urge, it might also be nice to send a card to:

The staff at Neuro-ICU, Unit 4A4,
University of Alberta Hospital, 8440-112 Street NW,
Edmonton Alberta
T6G 2B7

This whole team adopted Lee; I am just thrilled with how well she has been cared for, and too often, we forget to thank the people who do the day-to-day stuff.

:cheer: Thanks again @Gerry for taking the time to keep us informed. I'm so relieved that things are moving in a great direction. :)

I'm grateful to hear that Lee is progressing so well!
I know that patience will be indicated and helpful in the days ahead.

Of course, the prayers and support continue.

Thanks again for the update and the good news and taking the time to thank the great staff who are helping take care of Lee. Hopefully all goes well with the transition steps over the next few days. Sending lots of positive energy your way!!!

@Gerry - I've been sharing the journey with my pastor. She is thankful for Lee's progress and amazed that a shared interest like figure skating brings so many people around the world in a community of love for each other.

I too am thankful that the staff are so caring and alert to all changes.

Very short update right now... will do more later.

The weekend was very up-and-down; Saturday showed some promise, but Sunday she was unresponsive. Physically, she is doing very well though, which is encouraging.

So this morning at 0630, she nodded when I asked if she had a good sleep, shook her head when I asked if she had any pain, sort-of, and when I kissed my fingers and put them to her lips she kissed back.

Sort of shrugged when I told her the sound of breathing thru the trache was like a cat purring ... as if to say 'if you don't like it, too bad.'

Good start to the day, but things could go sideways at any point.

More later...
