My thoughts are with you again today as Lee once again goes through surgery. Many blessings to you all on this rollercoaster of a journey.

Thank you so much for the update. Continuing prayers, well-wishes and support for Lee. Also adding prayers for you and your family's strength and well-being @Gerry

Sending positive energy and prayers to Lee today for her surgery. I wish there were more we could do to help you during this stressful time. Maybe if you get a chance you could read some of Lee's posts here and you would know why we love her so.

I will definitely think of her during her surgery.

Also, tell her it amused me a bit that she wouldn't perform for the doctor. She has a mind of her own!

Gerry just sent a msg and so I will copy and post what he's said:

The surgery was just cancelled for today... there were some serious emergencies and all the ORs and supports were maxed. As much as I don't like it, Lee got bumped. Triage. So tomorrow, we do this all over again.

So let's hope it goes well, tomorrow.

If there's any good that can be inferred, they don't bump people who are stable. That's a good sign for Lee.

Thanks for the update, pat c. So sorry to hear about the delay, Gerry. My thoughts continue to be with you all, and particularly with Lee and the surgeons tomorrow.

Thank you for the update, @pat c. While that's surely frustrating, caring for the most emergent needy has to take precedence, which I know they understand. I will just keep Lee even more in my thoughts tomorrow.

I agree with aceon6, she must be in good shape to be held over, must be very hard on the family though

Hi everyone. Note that I am frustrated with being bumped, but we surely understand...
... somebody needed that room more than Lee; as long as her drain is open, she is fine.
The neurosurgery team was equally disappointed- they were scrubbed and ready to go, and 15 minutes before Lee was to go down, we were postponed.

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers... we try again tomorrow.

It has to be frustrating. And anger filled, even if you understand the reason why.

It was my experience many, many years ago...that shunts have a greater ability to be more successful at a constant drainage of ventricular fluid that an external drain. For the non medical - the fluid on the brain have a more continuous draining of fluid. - Is that your understanding @Gerry? that she has an external drainage system that maybe positional?

Saying many prayers. As a bishop I know says: No prayer; not power, little prayer litte power, much prayer much power

You sure are taking that delay well, Gerry. You are nobler than I. May Lee be the top priority in neurosurgery tomorrow! I will be glad to hear that all went well. Sending up my prayers for her and you guys.

Speaks volumes of your great character to be able to put those more needing ahead during your own trying times @Gerry. Sending positive vibes to you and Lee for her surgery today. I feel it's all going to go very smoothly!
