Is music not played for the Pairs during this warmup session? I’ve had this up in Peacock, saw the group 1 skaters skating around, but did not hear their respective music.

Now gp 2 is on ice... Gribbles, H/G, and C/J.

Cain-GribbleLeDuc and Hanns/Garbutt both have landed throw 3Lz (the latter team's had very nice speed/flow out).

The height Calalang/Johnson get on their twist is just amazing. They also landed a throw 3Lz (she was a bit tilted in the air).

ETA: 20-min. warmups never have music.

Loooong day ahead! Oops, Pairs W/U final SP group is next (eta): Serafini/Tran (landed sbs 3T), Lu/Mitrofanov (seem to be in good spirits), Lockley/Prochnow (landed a throw 3S).

Then Ladies SP 20-minute W/U (3 groups in starting order, music will not be played), followed by Dance practice (music will be played), then Men's first practice! Men's second practice will start after midnight Eastern time (after the Ladies SP) and run until 2:05 am ET.

Here's the latest version (14.2) of the Athlete Skating Schedule with the Practice Groups/Music Rotation info (listed times are PACIFIC): https://cdn3.sportngin.com/attachme...19/2021USFSChampsAthleteScheduleDraft14.2.pdf

I think we're likely to see it again. ;)

Pairs SP 20-minute warmup coming up with group 1: McBeath/Bartholomay, Chan/Howe, Knierim/Frazier.

ETA that all 3 teams have done successful throw 3Lo. K/F landed sbs 3T (though still a bit off unison).
For a US team "off unison" is great! You have to crawl before you walk, I'll settle for consistently landing sbs jumps!

Group 2 ladies are looking sharp. Some nice jumps from Mariah, Karen, Hanna, Starr. (Sorry, that's as specific as I get when I'm trying to work and watch at the same time. )

Kneirim & Frazier look terrific. Very solid on both SBS triple toes and salchows. Looks to be a clear advantage over Calalang &Johnson who were mostly struggling with them.

Love Alexa’s sparkly black practice unitard. I remember the days when the ladies wore cute practice outfits...usually practice dresses that were fun to see.
I think they might be the new champs - which would be amazing seeing as together for such a short time.

Music complaints.

That Motown medley music is terribly planned and they effed with the rhythm, and I didn't like the choreography. And this version of Billy Joel's "Vienna" either sucks or blows, I'm not sure which; and when it hits "Uptown Girl", the cut is painful.
I hate when music's forced to changes in speed, etc. or is chopped without any flow Get a new recording, don't speed up the old one and don't CHOP.

Thanks. I had to say it during practice so I don't go crazy during competition.

Nathan looks like he just rolled out of his hotel bed 15 minutes ago, LOL! Did I just see him grab the waistline of his pants during the camel spin so that they not fall down???!!! Hey, kudos for performing elements, of a bit roughly. 😝

I thought the grab was the hem of his giant floppy T-shirt which was threating to fly up. He was pulling his shirt down. While spinning.

After his 6-minute warmup, Nathan "casually" does 4Lz (turnout), spread eagle to 3A (pitched F a bit) and 4F+3T in his SP run through.
And he didn't look very happy with himself. But I don't see him being challenged here. Vincent may come close but.... between Nathan's reputation and his general consistency he's hard to beat

(will edit in some jump notes here for the 5 other guys later)

Ryan Dunk FS - marked all his jumps
Joonsoo Kim FS - fell on his 2 opening 3A attempts (he landed a beauty in his Nationals FS qualifying program).
Krasnozhon FS: 4Lo fall, 3A+3T, 3A, 3S, 3F hard fall (wanted 3Lo in combo), 3Lz+2Lo+2Lo, 2Lz, ended with wild abandon footwork! Landed a 4Lo(<?) later.
Peter Liu SP: 3A hand, 3Lz+2T, marked solo jump
Dinh Tran FS: Axel pop, 3Lz+3T step back, marked 4S, 3Lz hands/fall? 3F+2T, 3S-half loop-2S. Jeremy Abbott with him by boards.

Nathan's extended footwork sequence just now!
