Exactly. Japan barred methylphenidate with WADA TUE at the country boarder, basically ruined Tokyo Olympics for a star gymnast, and no consequences from WADA followed. None whatsoever. But from Russians they demand changing of national law. Not the less, knowing that they can't do it and it won't happen. They are looking for any excuse to keep status quo.
WADA is a guest in a sovereign country. It can enjoy as much jurisdiction as the state gives. Demanding changing of a national law is a direct violation of the key UN resolution on sovereignty of the state. When IOC/WADA/CAS wants to ban someone, they use UN resolutions. But when a UN resolution is not in their favor, they pretend it doesn't exist.
You both failed. You couldn't say anything meaningful to OP about the current political ban, so you dragged a doping ban that expired 4 years ago. But as the result you only showed once again what a hypocrite IOC/WADA/CAS are.
