I’m also enjoying the fourth season of Halt and Catch Fire. But I’ve found it a bit sad, compared to the previous 3 seasons. The story arc has taken Cameron and Donna, and even Boz, to places I just wasn’t expecting. And Gordon .... :wuzrobbed. We’ve got 2 episodes left to watch.

I watched this show when it came on AMC and loved it. I think S2 was my favorite because I loved the Cam-Donna working relationship, and I was a Cam-Tom fangirl. The early days of Mutiny were so much fun.

I've had a very productive free Netflix month. I watched four seasons of Breaking Bad, S2 of The Crown, the inaugural seasons of Ozark and Atypical, and S3 of Fuller House (I needed something light to break up all the gore and drama lol).

S1 and S3 of Breaking Bad are my favorites so far. I loved the dark comedy of Walt and Jesse in the early days when they didn't know what the heck they were doing (Jesse has become one of my all-time favorite TV characters). I've avoided all S5 spoilers so far and am hoping to continue to do so until I can catch the marathon on AMC in a few weeks.

I could've done with less Philip in S2 of The Crown, but I still enjoyed it immensely. I'm obsessed with Margaret and her wardrobe. Also on another superficial note, being able to see this show in 4K Ultra HD was spectacular.

I watched Ozark before Breaking Bad, and now I see why there are a lot of comparisons. I liked the wife on Ozark much more than Skylar and also the different dynamic with the kids. I wasn't crazy about some of the redneck characters at first, but they grew on me after awhile.

Really enjoyed Atypical except for the mom who grated on my last nerve. I hope it will be back for S2.

Fuller House was still pretty cringe-worthy overall, but I found S3 better than S1 and the little bit of S2 I saw. It was good "right before bed" TV for me.

I had never opened this thread until tonight. I hope someone can help me out. A friend on Facebook read my post about Agatha Christe's book 'and then there were none'. This friend asked me about a TV series on Hulu - if it was worth watching. I have no idea. Does anyone here know anything about this series?

I'm watching it now! I really like this season, much better than season 3.

I binged the final 5 episodes of the Crown season 2 and the acting blew me away. Claire Foy is going to be hard act t follow. The character of Princess Margaret irritates me.

Poor Prince Charles:(

I just finished watching the live action version of Erased on Netflix. You can also watch the anime on Crunchyroll. It's one of those things that people seem to love or hate from what I can tell. I enjoyed both series.

Satoru is framed for his mother's murder and ends up going back in time 18 years to a time when 3 children were kidnapped and murdered. He feels that to prevent his mother's death in the future he has to save the children that had previously died. It never explains the main characters Revival ability but I don't think the ability is the main point. To me it deals a lot more with issues like survivor's guilt, abuse, neglect, loneliness, friendship. There are some beautiful moments in both the anime artwork and the filming. Definitely worth the time if you're looking for something to watch.

Okay has anyone watched "Rotten" on netflix. Holy Lord, I"m just disgusted about the business of food. The corporatization of the our food industry is lothesome. It's an excellent series though and I highly recommend it.

Has anyone watched Black Mirror season 4 ? I was a big fan of the first two seasons. The first three episodes of season 3 were really good too but season 4, so disappointing, much less thought-provoking. I might just have gotten used to the format taking away the element of surprise. This serie was the only one I could never binge-watch under pain of anxiety and even nightmares (which happened when I had the bad idea to watch the whole season 1 in one sitting). However, this season is a bit like a caricature of the older seasons. Having 6 episodes doesn't help, it kind of milks the concept instead of focusing on well written and intense episodes.

I also find season 4 of Black Mirror disappointing so far. I've watched the first 3 episodes, and I only liked the 1st. Anyway, still 3 to go.

I've been starting and stopping so many Asian dramas because nothing really kept my interest and I get so easily bored with a lot of tropes that these shows shamelessly use. Sometimes the culture differences make it hard for me to swallow the actions of the lead female character.

I hear you, on the female lead characters. I've only watched Taiwanese dramas, and most of the time, the girl has no brain, always gets into trouble to be saved afterwards by one or several handsome guy(s)

Still, the latest dramas I've watched were almost okay : Back to 1989 (but then, I could watch any show with Marcus Chang in the cast) and Murphy's Law of Love (I didn't like the male lead in this one, preferred the second lead. The female lead became quite awful though.) :scream:

I am catching up on the IT Crowd. Have only seen random episodes on TV. Have decided to binge watch the whole series. Very funny.

Watching Electric Dreams on Prime and really enjoying not just the acting but the writing, cinematography, costumes, etc., and I'm not a huge sci-fi/fantasy person. So far my favorite episode is "Human Is" but I fully admit it's due to being a fan of Essie Davis.

Watched the last 3 episodes of Black Mirror season 4. I loved Hang the DJ and really liked Black Museum.

I have yet to watch White Christmas from 2014 but a special episode with Jon Hamm can't be bad ^^

I need to say we will not be watching the rest of “Electric Dreams”. To our taste, the first episode was so full of WTF ery, as in WTF is happening and we don’t really care, that we bailed. We watched the supposed “best” episode, the Commuter, all the way through. Although Timothy Spall does a great job, at the end the spousal unit said “That was a like a bad Fellini movie”.

For comparison, he loooves Black Mirror. I will only watch episodes
with happy endings, which means I’ve seen two:D

Anyone seen "Morocco -Love In A Time Of War"? It looks like a Spanish series set in WW1 and dubbed in English. About a group of high society women who become nurses and are sent off to the battlefield to tend the wounded. Looks interesting. Has anyone watched it yet? I am one episode one.

Finished season 4 of Grace And Frankie. Great show. Can be really funny, but has real moments. I like how things have evolved and how they r dealing with aging. Fonda Tomlinson and the whole cast r great,

Just finished watching Season 4 of the Danish TV series Rita on Netflix. Very well-written and beautifully filmed, as well as a clever and original path out of the apparent impasse of the end of the Season 3. It's rare that a fourth season of a TV show ends up being more interesting than its predecessors, but I think this one achieves that distinction!

So is anyone still watching Poldark on PBS? We just wrapped up season 3. This season definitely held my interest quite a bit. But it’s also getting quite soapy.

I feel like the acting is improving as the series goes on.

I watched the first two seasons and enjoyed Poldark quite a bit. I have not yet seen the third series. One thing that I both loved and found distracting is that the actor who played Francis, Kyle Soller, reminded me so much of Charlie White that is took me out of the story sometimes.

Ha-ha, you're right. He did look a bit like Charlie! ;)

If you liked the first 2 seasons, you'll probably enjoy season 3. If anything, I think the pace of the plot picks up a bit in the third season. And there's quite a bit of juicy stuff going on. :D

I loved this book when I read it as a teenager. I've seen about three versions of it and all were good. I'm still waiting for the ultimate version though. I'm tempted to say, "just read the book".

Finished reading it before I asked about Hulu.

I'm still mad that the Criterion Collection didn't renew its contract with Hulu. I was trying to look for Early Summer by Ozu and it's only available online through a new service that costs like $99 per year to join. I can afford it but I hate the idea of paying for yet another online streaming service. For all the streaming services I want, it's costing as much as cable.
