Well, I managed to sleep a few hours and, hopefully am feeling better (I've been dealing with a toothache the past day or so - pulled out the heating pad during the JGP Pairs and was trying that - seemed to have a positive effect, but there is still some residual achiness). I am SO ready for this event! Go CarPon and SmaDie!

Kudryavtseva/Karankevich - these costumes are... Wow. Shiny grape purple asymmetrical split skirt and matching shiny purple jacket for him; his look is completed by a white t-shirt and black pants; her dress... has an orange belt and the top is shiny red with a deep scoop neckline on the back, long sleeves, and a deep v neckline in the front and there's some gold/orange with two huge red stones on the front and back like necklaces and chains looping around both the neck and under the breasts in three ropes around to the back. Their skating seemed... yeah, okay. I was absolutely destroyed by this look this early in the competition.

Guaranteed. I felt that way 3 weeks ago about five dances into the RD at the first JGP.

The non-disco RDs are the only things that make this theme worthwhile.

They are much faster than the first pair with better edges

editing this to add that the footwork is getting sloppier the longer they skate lol they had a moment though

So, confirmation that Team Zanni got a deal on all the shiny, metallic fabrics in northern Italy - of every color of the rainbow!

Simova/Aksenov - she is in shiny, metallic royal blue short shorts with long sleeves like Kudry's before, neckline on top is quite similar acutally, the hot pants have gold biker shorts sticking out underneath, and the gold is repeated with a heavily stoned bra top, and it's all punctuated by another shiny orange belt; meanwhile he's in a shiny midnight blue short-sleeved dress shirt that has some black accent and black pants. Wow. Just... Wow, Team Zanni.

CarPon are bringing the classy to this group. Which is saying maybe not much after Team Zanni's first two submissions.

Those twizzles were SPECTACULAR!!!!!

OMG I loved that so fun!!!!!

that by itself was worth twice the cost of the stream. That made me so happy!

Also they are using hold a lot more and have a lot of really intricate changes of hold which are going to be killer by the end of the season

I enjoyed that from C/P. Not sure how they fare against the others but this is good
