My husband is coming home!

Complications today, after an ECT session, my husband's oxygen level dropped suddenly. He quickly recovered but the hospital now considers him high risk and he is no longer eligible to receive ECT. The hospital has no idea why his level dropped, he never had a reaction to anesthesia or ECT before.

The doctor filled out paperwork to have my husband admitted to the hospital in Boston. The hospital has a three month waiting list and does not accept patients who are currently hospitalized. He would have to be discharged from the Manhattan hospital first. We are hoping the severity of his illness will be taken into consideration and he be given a priority, then he can be taken to Boston the day of discharge.

(((((judiz)))) Keeping you and your husband in my prayers. Hoping that he gets admitted as soon as possible. <3

((((judiz)))) how very upsetting and frustrating for you. Hoping also that there is a way to get him into the other hospital quickly.
How are you holding up?

Judiz, I'm so sorry this situation has become prolonged. On top of everything else, it must be difficult to witness what your husband is going through.

I don't think you've said what his actual diagnosis is? Are the doctors trying out different medications?

Judiz, I'm so sorry that you & your husband continue to go through this ordeal! My thoughts & prayers continue for you & your family!

Earnestly hoping there are no long-term effects from the scary ECT incident. I hope he can get into better treatment soon.
