Well the idea of Archie not getting security protection while they were in those positions is crazy. You can bet Will and Kate’s kids did. There are many dangerous threats to all of them. kate/will/Harry and Meghan were always going to be. Very high profile. Weird family.

Yes, there were Letters Patent issued in2012 by HRH Queen Elizabeth.
"Queen Elizabeth II issued new Letters Patent on December 31, 2012 declaring that all of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s children will have the title of Royal Highness and be styled Princes and Princesses. The document states, “The QUEEN has been pleased by Letters Patent under the Great Seal of the Realm dated 31 December 2012 to declare that all the children of the eldest son of The Prince of Wales should have and enjoy the style, title and attribute of Royal Highness with the titular dignity of Prince or Princess prefixed to their Christian names or with such other titles of honour."
Them's the rules. Harry was certainly well aware of the rules. I don't know why he thought they would not apply to him. And then to think they should be given any money from the Royal Coffers after they "stepped away" is astounding.

No that's why I said I believe. Its my opinion
He said his father is talking his calls now. Although who knows he will forever if Harry and Meghan are going to publish emails and discuss personal conversations.
This being said I do hope they work things out and no one is perfect quite sure all involves led to this

I think if Charles had an issue with Meghan's color, that would have been pretty clear before the wedding. Instead, by all accounts that I have heard, he was supportive of the marriage and went to bat for them with the Queen. Harry expressed a lot of gratitude to Charles about all this, I believe.
I cannot believe I am being sucked into this discussion or defending Charles. I couldn't care less about the BRF and like my reality shows to have fake setups where everyone knows it's a game, not real life.
But since I am--wasn't William's fight with Harry supposedly about Harry not dating Meghan long enough because he thought she needed a lot more time to learn and adapt to the royal family and life in the spotlight? Wasn't that why Charles supported William and Kate living together before marriage--because he thought it would be good for Kate to get a good, long look at what she was getting into? Why then would anyone think Meghan should have known all about the life of the royals?
Good lord, people, please stop reporting posts in this thread so I can stop looking at it and never think about any of this again.?

Her friend gave this interview .. ?. This is something that is not just about the potential colour of Archie’s skin. I think quite a few staffers/aides are involved.

I had read that the discussion about the baby's skin color was between Meghan and Harry. One of those conversations people have about "what will the baby look like". You always wonder.....will he/she have my hair.....your height?
I cannot imagine that anyone other than a moron would ask that question.
For the record i believe Meghan it was awful. Several of Harry’s former girlfriends dumped him because they couldn’t handle his life.

Yup can pretty much guarantee that wasn’t the conversation between whatever family member and Harry. Maybe it was Camilla. It will never be revealed though.

I asked my s.o. who was a royal protection officer at Windsor, about security at Frogmore Cottage. It’s on the Windsor Estate, far from public viewing, and the area is surrounded by a high wall topped with cameras, ground sensors, alarms, etc. Entry is through a gate with armed personnel 24/7, and on and on and on. Even if H&M had stayed on after quitting their positions as senior royals, Frogmore was their home and always would have had this level of security.

But either way, security for the royals is extensive. In fact, The Mirror reported in 2010 that each royal has five armed guards on each of them at all times, so it's very likely that Prince George has his own couple of bodyguards to escort him to and from school, and spend their day guarding him, much like the American Secret Service does for a president's children, according to Newsweek. According to CheatSheet, the royal family's security bill is paid for by the Metropolitan Police and allegedly costs more than £120 million per year.

I saw that Omid Scobie is actually quoting some of these emails in at least one article from yesterday or today, so, let’s break this timeline down...
1) M throws out there in the interview that there are emails but, really, this is our one and only interview about why we left and how hard it has been...
2) Tuesday AM Janina Gavankar goes on some British morning show, announcing she has been authorized to speak and there are emails/texts
3) BP issues their short non-response response that basically tells H&M that they will deal with their grievances privately
4) Scobie writes an article that includes some of those emails
5) this morning when questions are shouted prior to his public engagement, William says "nope, but I plan to" to the "Have you spoken with Harry?" question and "No, we are not racist" to the "Is the BRF racist" question.
6) Gavankar continues her public defense of the Sussexes...
What conclusions should anyone draw from this sad, pathetic episode?
1) Is there any doubt that H&M collaborated with Scobie & Carolyn Durand in "Finding Freedom"?
2) they are not happy with the BP's public response and are willing to do whatever they can to continue to trash & smear the BRF
3) this is hardly the last we will hear from H&M on the subject because they, clearly, haven't moved on with their "fairytale happy ending"
4) eventually they will run out of ammunition to fire off at BRF because it's going to be a long time before they have any further meaningful conversations with any of the main players in the BRF.
5) anyone wanna bet that the "cold shoulder" Harry got from his dad and the Sandringham trip that got called off is a broiler oven compared to the lack of responsiveness they're getting now? And, frankly, who can blame anyone for not trusting the Sussexes at this point? They've demonstrated they are willing to do and say anything to keep themselves in the news.
6) "The Crown always wins." The Crown endures. Eventually, when the Sussexes run out of anything new or revelatory, the media will move on and they will be left with their mortgage and security bills. Good luck paying them, especially if you fail to produce any interesting content for Spotify or Netflix.
They wanted to. The picture has moved on. Maybe they still think they should be funded but their actions show they recognise they will not be.
They sought other means of supporting their costs and were criticised in the press (in the UK at least) for doing so. The Netflix deal was referred to as a betrayal of the Queen. They have used this interview to defend/explain their commercial deals/work decisions.

This is something I've been thinking about too. It was less that three years ago that Charles walked Meghan down the aisle in what seemed to be an honest, compassionate and rule-breaking gesture of support not just for his son and the marriage, but for Meghan herself. Less than 18 months later, Harry and Meghan were on their way to breaking from the BRF, and it's gone downhill from there.
Why should they defend it? They are private citizens now. I highly doubt they will ever go back. They haven’t committed any crimes.
You are just filled with hate and very close minded attitude towards them. I am putting you on my ignore list.

I generally don't believe in using the ignore function but there are 3 very vocal people filled with hate in this thread. All 3 are going on my ignore list. I'm sick of them twisting facts & posts to "prove" their hate is justified.
I wonder if there's anyone here who thinks Andrew has lost one penny of support or any security since his awful interview.
I don’t hate Harry and Meghan. I have said their child is cute. I have said royal life hard I don’t blame them for leaving.
I don’t like them giving an interview trashing family members and talking about what hey are owed when they quit the family business, inherited millions and you have peope who literally don’t homes who literally lost their jobs and are literally struggling.
One point Charles spent 45 million of his own money on Harry and Meghan wedding but we wanted something more private think about that in an Internet. 45 million. No thanks for the help we are grateful.

"Hatred" is such a strong word. I've been a skeptical, sometimes pretty cynical, person much of my life. It's a shame that you both have chosen to interpret my skepticism and cynicism toward the purity of H&M's motivations and actions as hatred. I think they, especially Harry, have treated the BRF with a level of disrespect and destructiveness that borders on venomous. The fact that I'm comfortable calling their hypocrisy out certainly doesn't equate to hatred. Of course, YMMV, and clearly it does, but go right ahead and use that ignore function if you must.
