Ice dance technical requirements 2017-18

Any guesses as to which team will rebel and only cover the torso 39% and see if the judges dare to penalize?

I think that Tessa and Alexandra S. will be showing much theirs backs. I was thinking maybe Madison C. but I don´t remember her showing much skin, this season she only showed a little her abdomen.

I'm surprised none of the hip hop ladies this season wanted to wear shorts since shorts are allowed as well as pants this season. I was hoping to see some booty shorts just for the laughs.

Not booty shorts. Nor hip hop. Beachwear, I believe. I like this team. They don't have the technical strengths of a top junior team, but they're fun.

Small updates:
The "Cappellini/Lanotte" clarification:
A brief movement in which both skates of one of the partners leave the ice with support by the other partner and the lifted partner is not sustained in the air shall not be considered as a Dance Lift. However, if the lifting partner moves through more than one rotation while the partner is off the ice, this will be considered a rotational lift.

Continuous combination of intricate steps or movements can be used as an entry or exit feature for spins and lifts

Coupée back as a variation B for twizzles

Level 4 footwork type A now needs 9 difficult turns including a double twizzle and type B needs 5 difficult turns

Mandatory -GOE for pattern dances if they don't reflect the character of the rhythm which I'm sure won't produce controversy at all

And finally, the rhythm for 2018-19 will be Tango Romantica for Seniors and Argentine Tango for Juniors:GnP1:

*clears throat, adjusts glasses* Well, actually... It looks like a double twizzle isn't obligatory for levels 3 and 4 this season, which is a change from last season.

e.g. 2017-18 requirements, section 4.6.3., stsq style A, level 3:
Footwork includes at least 7 Difficult Turns (if Twizzle is included it must be done with at least two rotations – “Double Twizzle”)
(bold & underscore in the original)

The operational word is IF.

The previous section (4.6.2.) says that if you include a twizzle, it must be a (clean) double twizzle for it to be counted towards levels 3 and 4 (for levels 1 and 2, a single twizzle will do).

Then under 4.6.3. it says again that IF you include a twizzle, it must be a double twizzle for levels 3 and 4 or it won't count -- but it doesn't say you have to include a double twizzle, whereas last season you had to: see 2016-17 requirements, section 4.6.3., stsq style A, level 3:
Footwork includes at least 7 Difficult Turns (one of which being a Double Twizzle ...)
(bold in original)

I bet we'll see double twizzles in just about every stsq nevertheless, but if I'm reading this right, at least in theory it should be possible to do a level 3 or even level 4 stsq without double twizzles. (I'm not an ice dance expert, though, so I have no idea how hard would it be to do the required 9 difficult turns for level 4 if you didn't include a double twizzle in that number.)
