Laurie Hernandez reportedly is doing Dancing with the Stars this fall:

Simone said that she couldn't do it this fall because of the tour. Is Laurie not doing the tour? I guess she won't be doing a lot of gymnastics training for a while. I guess this is a good opportunity for her, but I'm not a big fan of DWTS so I would have preferred that she focus on training and kick butt at the next Nationals and Worlds.
Yay for Laurie! But yuck that now I'm going to have to watch this stupid show again. I haven't watched it since Meryl and Charlie were on.
Gabby Douglas will be missing the MTV Video Music Awards after she was admitted to a hospital for undisclosed reasons.
The gymnast announced the news on Instagram, sharing a photo of herself wrapped up in a blanket on a bed in what appeared to be a hotel room in New York City.
"Out of the hospital & resting comfortably! #FinalFive so sad I can't be with u all to present tonite@MTV thank u xoxo #VMAs #myview."
It is not immediately clear why Douglas was in the hospital or for how long. (A rep for Douglas did not immediately respond to a request for comment.)
Does anyone know where i can watch the Ranch (the documentary). It was on youtube before the olympics but it was removed. Also, I think you can watch it on the NBC website but I can't because it is geoblocked and i'm not from the USA. Thank you for your help
This article you linked to also says reaction to medications:First I heard a reaction to painkillers, then her publicist said that she went back to the hospital on Sunday night due to complications from a mouth infection.

"Gabby is back in the hospital tonight being treated for a seriously infected past mouth injury," Douglas' publicist tells PEOPLE. "She continues to have deep swelling and adverse reactions to medications."
Wow, Yana is a spitting image of Lady Gaga...
Apparently Aimee Boorman is moving to Florida and will no longer be coaching Simone.

I can't even. They were like the perfect athlete-coach pairing.
Was Aimee's move something that was in the works for a while? And she just delayed the actual move until Simone finished the Olympics?
It makes me wonder if perhaps Simone will retire instead of coming back for a second Olympics. Because starting with a brand-new coach would seem not that appealing.
I have always had that impression too, but when I first saw the Aimee news, I got a little worried. Glad to see that so far, my worries appear to have been unfounded. Given that the Biles gym has already lasted way longer than the Moceanu one, it's probably not really a fair comparison.
Actually, given that Simone wasn't even pro when the Biles gym started, I'd assume it was her parents' money and not hers that went into it, which is another reason not to be too worried for Biles.
