GPdF 2025 PBP- Pairs SP: “Cockadoodledon’t”

McBark up next - probably ready and eager to prove the USFS wrong once again with their baffling Skate to Milano assignment decision and I'm here for it.

3tw - decent; SBS 3t - nicely done; throw 3f - she wasn't gonna let that landing go, lol; lift - solid; SBS spins - got off on the synch, meh; step sequence - alright; BIDS - well done and good ending.

I'd easily have them above ShiNagy by a few points but the TES is almost even and that leaves me worried.

Katie McBeath/Daniil Parkman 🇺🇸
Coach: J. Meno, T. Sand, B. Frazier
Music: Vale

Triple Twist 3 (4 after review)
3T
Throw 3F - tight landing, but hung on one foot
Axel Lasso Lift 4

Change Foot Combo Spin 2
Step Sequence 3
Back Inside Death Spiral B - not sure her head got low enough

Great performance, but a couple of small technical issues that may cost them against the top teams like the position on the death spiral.

63.31 = 1st Place

Well, they're in the lead but not by enough. Still, I'm living for the egg on the USFS' face with that batshit choice of sending ShiNagy to Beijing last month.

Has anyone else noticed that you can no longer back up the video during the live feed on Peacock like you used to be able to do?

Yall are really going to be this pressed until the 2030 Olympics about the Milano qualifier right? lol The U.S. pairs minus E&M (who can't even go to the Olympics) are not getting 3 spots so why we think we should have 3 spots is slightly bizzare.

And down she went. Between then and the Hungarians I am SO sorry I no longer have smoke breaks.

At least with Lalique we got the sweepers in their chic cashmere dresses and matching cloches.

ETA: Not Lalique: that was Trophee Eric Bompard, which supplied the sweepers' dresses and hats.

Les Kovs - 3tw - fine; SBS 3t - and down she goes; these costumes are quite tasteful; lift - decent; throw 3f - tiny and a skiddy landing; BIDS - fine; SBS spins - actually not terrible; step sequence - fine.

Well, they'll always have the Skate to Milano SP that pretty much earned them the spot that UZB will eventually relinquish.

Better as a program than the Britney and Mummy stuff we've gotten the last few years, but this was a rough outing. Much better in the Milano event. They may get into the Olympic individual event thanks to Uzbekistan, but meh.
