First half was good, but the second half was a bit rough for me.

the top of that dress looks strangely lumpy and off kilter??? looks like it does not fit her. not liking the orange and blue at all.

Still don't quite understand the propping up of them compared to some of their countrymates.

I would like to see Pate develop some expression beyond . She spun her twizzles—can’t remember the last time they erred on that element—usually so consistent, nice speed, secure lifts

Pate/Bye - Not a fan of Lion King programs and this has not changed my mind. Wonky twizzles from her. Lots of big arm movements to hide not much going on with the feet. Lifts seemed a bit off but nothing terrible. As a whole it looked like hard work at least until choreo section when they showed a bit more spark.

Different choices of music from what we usually see in Lion King programs until Circle of Life. I liked the backwards summersault into the choreographic lift in the choreographic character step sequence. Overall a great first impression with this program.

I was wondering the same thing but maybe it had to do with the vocals in Schizas's program.

Well at least "Lion King" isn't dull music, but I don't get P/B love at all. Her feet are so clunky, their spacing so inconsistent, synchronization off quite often. Meh.

But also, wasn’t the rights issue mainly because of the Olympics? Since there’s some material people used last season that they can’t repeat this season. Pate/Bye surely know their chances of making the team are slim to none.

Every group has it's mandatory theme. If your are in a Mishin group you have to skate Carmen at some point of your career. If you are in Marie Universe - you're a snake

Sorry. This program is so empty. They crawl through the edgework, especially compared to the Americans and they are stiff doing it. The team has to always rely on vibes and it isn't hitting with me at all. They look like they are skating through mud a lot of the time. Nearly ending with the midline is a unique twist but not when the skating quality is like that.

I had thought this as well. But she said she was quoted an exorbitant fee to clear the music and would need a go fund me to pay for it, so she went another way.

Fantastic opening rotational to straight line lift, they seem like a new team this year, more energized and confident, level 2s on one foot turns, weird breathing sound effects, both giving good expression

Lots of creative, and unique movements, and elements in the program, but overall the program is not as dramatic as I would have expected.

Lauriault/Le Gac - Oooh, that opening was interesting! As was the rotatoinal lift. A bit disjointed in parts (why so many music cuts?) but definitely not boring. Really enjoyed it. I think she had a small trip but might have been between elements.

LesGacs have wisely done several early comps and brought their free here looking very highly polished. Superb highlight moves.

I hate the two-tone black fabric hanging off his butt though, very distracting.
