Fun geography quiz - how many can you get?

I am using a tablet because my laptop is too heavy for me, and the autocorrect function, for some perverse reason, makes me Uddingston have to Tiptree words several times before I grey it right. As you can see. And I also have to x out the word I typed, even though it is gone from the screen, it is still in the word I'm typing.

At a guess though, the best I'd do right now on a laptop would be just 100 or so.

Well, about a hundred times later: finished with 5:30 left. I just can't type any faster.

Good for the brain. I'm doing it once a day now.

However, their choice of countries is, in some cases, weird. There are two Congo's but they lump them together. (Democratic Republic of the Congo v. Republic of the Congo.)

It also still accepts Burma. And the spelling of Kyrgistan it likes is missing a Z in the conventional spelling.

But very cool.

Still amazed at how much the naming on the map of Africa has changed since I was in elementary school.

I'm at 8:20 left. That's the best I've done. I do it once a day as well. The one that kills me is the "one minute European countries" map. The most I've been able to type is 43 and there are 45 countries.

I'm getting better! I was at something embarrassing when I first started (like 70 or so I think) and now I'm up to 115! I've also now done some research on some of the places I hadn't heard of, and now I really want to visit Cape Verde. Sigh.

Edit: up to 129 now!
