Frustrated over lack of returned calls

The social worker assigned to my husband's case will not return my phone calls. I have left several voice mails this week asking her to call me, I explained on the message the information I needed yet get nothing back in return. I am very close to contacting her supervisior.

Just to clarify, a new doctor was assigned to his case and I have no contact information for the doctor nor has the doctor contacted me. All I want is a contact number for the doctor.

Contact the supervisor. Do not pass go, and do not collect $200.00!
That is horrid behavior (on the social worker's part).

Is this someone you know? Not that it matters. I have found in sticky situations I do NOT leave a message about what I want.....then the person doesn't get to "vote" about whether she wants to handle what I am asking.

I am really good at being "don't mess with me" on the phone, so I am happy to call for you! Good luck.

And the Doctor....shame on him. Can't you google him?

I agree with the others. Call the supervisor if you are not getting a response. It must be so frustrating for you! (((Judiz)))- on top of everything else.

Absolutely contact the supervisor. It could be that she has a case overload, or a family emergency, but even so, there should be someone to step in for her. Or, there could be a slip-up somewhere.

Definitely, contact the supervisor. I'm not excusing this, but I have a friend who is a case manager working here in the state of Missouri and she has 800+ cases that she is responsible for at any given time. I'm sure that social workers are just as overworked. Granted, there's no excuse for not getting a returned call, but you just never know. Regardless, you still need help, and you should contact whomever you need to to get it, even if it means contacting a supervisor or a manager.

You are still uplifted in my prayers.

The social worker called today, claimed she's been trying to get hold of me, even told me she called and was told I had left for the day - my boss told me no one called for me.

The social worker told me she expects to hear from the hospital in Boston next week. She gave me the name and number of the doctor and conferenced her in.

The new doctor seems nice and she seems competent. She agreed that my husband is no where near ready to be released and the best hope for recovery is the hospital in Boston. They are going to try new medicine next week if need be and continue to work with him until he is ready to be admitted to Boston.
