Forthcoming upgrade...

I see only search everything, search threads, search profile posts (what does that mean?), and search tags, but no search by forum.
If you go to "search threads" you will see additional options.

Thank you @Server Guy for page navigation at the top of the thread. I've already used it at least three or four times today. Including in this thread :)
Agreed!

This recent upgrade works very well and looks great on a laptop and notebooks - ThinkPad and iPad. The iPhone is still dodgy, but considering the other avenues available to access FSU, it's no big deal. The iPhone can take a little vacation… :summer:

Also, in agreement w/ posters that have mentioned the Verdana font is easier on the eyes in comparison to the other fonts available.

A+ and thank you, @Server Guy for all your hard work, good humor and patience!:respec:

@Server Guy this is just a thought, and what you have already done is great, but is there any possibility of ever having a "save post" function, like reddit has for example? Sometimes a post has a lot of links or information and I want to save it to read later. Boomarking isn't always an option because I use a variety of different browsers and devices, so being able to save posts to my account to read later would be a really cool option to have.

Thanks a whole bunch @Server Guy, I was kind of busy with the Northeaster here in US state of PA, finished shoveling the heavy snow off all of my shrubs, came in and saw the Verdana font is here. I know it's not magic, but it is so much better.

What about using one of the 'like' options? If you used the same option for posts you wanted to read later, and then you can access the list of 'Ratings Given' to see which posts you gave which 'like' option to.

Yup! I could make this happen. Leave it with me since my plate is relatively full at the moment but I’ve added it to my todo list. :)

I'm making some changes and improvements to searching, for the next hour-ish, so you may not find the droids you're looking for... :)

What iPhone do you have and what kind of dodgy behaviour is it experiencing? I use an iPhone primarily and I don't think I've noticed any issues.

Agreed. I spent this morning shovelling snow off my driveway and Verdana also made me feel better after that!

Have been using an iPhone mobile app and unable to log in since upgrade. After I attempt to log in it says "your account doesn't have admin privileges".

hi Server Guy....I miss the squares for the quotes but I can live with that...My eyes are becoming trained to look for diff.people posting however what I have a problem with is the lack of difference in the read and unread threads. This is the reason I did not stay with your last upgrade. Is there any way you can make more contrast in the list of threads between read and unread?

Well, I’ve upgraded to an iPhone 4 from my old rotary dial… that’s how old this sentimental dinosaur is which could be more than half the reason why I am having issues with it. :sheep:

Having just checked using both Safari and DuckDuckGo, the page still loads off to one side, and the text runs together forming one big block. Several emoticons will populate with the one selected and the font is very light, etc. However, I have not used that particular iPhone to post on FSU since the upgrade. To be perfectly honest, it has always been reliably quirky. Like Frankenstein, “It’s Alive!”

I also have an old Net10!! :D :slinkaway

One thing I noticed is missing, is when I go through my own profile, and look my past postings, it only lists 'Content', but not 'Threads', meaning threads started by me. That feature made it easier for me to do updates on, shall we say, ongoing interests.

It's a little round about but if you select 'Content', then select 'Your Profile' from the sub menu at the top of the page. Then select the drop down menu that starts with 'Find' it allows you to select 'Find all threads started by "yournamehere". Maybe that feature could be moved to a more easily accessible place.

One thing that I've noticed that is different that might be worth having - particularly in PBP threads - is the 'first unread post' button that used to appear beside the page numbers at the bottom of the thread. I know I used to use that a lot when scrolling back and forth in those huge PBP threads.

Okay, so there is an easy way to find threads that you've started. The drop down menu for 'Forums' has an option for threads that you've started.

All these differences that people are noting must be on phones?

Pretty much nothing has changed for me, excepting the 'ratings received' that replaces 'likes', and having to click on likes to see who gave them, as opposed to them being listed already.

Good morning Server Guy!

What happened to the advanced editing/more options(?) page for responses? I used to be able to open a new page for writing a reply but I don't see that anymore. For me on mobile, it's much easier to write a reply on the advanced editing page. (eta the font changed size in the middle of the paragraph on my phone but I didn't do anything to change it so I don' t know what happened)

Also, in the previous version when we clicked on someone's profile picture next to their reply (on mobile), we got a larger version of the picture but in this version it's the same size. Is it possible to get a larger version back?

Thanks :)
