Forthcoming upgrade...

I can't log in when I first access the forum. I click on Log In, and get a few different error messages.

Then as soon as I click on one of the forums, I'm logged in.

Hi @Server Guy -- this is still not working for me (even though I'm back to being me again and not Annie) -- when I get to the splash page at www.fsuniverse.net and then click GSD forum, I get:
This page isn’t working
www.fsuniverse.net is currently unable to handle this request.

HTTP ERROR 500

If I instead click on the index, after that page I can get to the sub-fora with no problems.
 
So when you post in a thread and then there are new posts to view there is just a blue bar that says there are more posts to display, but you can't actually click on it to display the new posts like you could on the old version. It was nice to have the functionality on the old version in the pbp threads since they move so fast.

There is actually text that can be clicked, but the link color is exactly the same color as the blue bar that it's on, so it's invisible. I only found this out when I accidentally highlighted part of the page instead of scrolling up. The link color needs to be changed.
 
It used to be that hitting CTRL+I would end italisis, but it doesn't work any more. I have the same problem with underlining and CTRL+U. CTRL+B still works for turning off boldface. I'm using a PC and Google Chrome, if that makes any difference.
 
@Server Guy , I don't see the pages numbers nor can scroll through the pages on my phone with the android internet browser. It works fine on android chrome, but I don't particularly like it.
 
So far, everything on the board has worked as it should, so thanks @Server Guy for superb attention to detail. The only thing I really miss is having a Jump To New link near the page footer where “users who are viewing this thread appears.
 
I found it! Just run your cursor along the text saying there are more messages and then beyond. At some point the cursor turns to a hand and if you click, it updates the page!

I don't use an Android device so it's a bit tricky to troubleshoot the issues you're having. It looks like you're not using something like Chrome or Firefox though (from your earlier screenshot). Could you try one of those browsers and report back? Cheers.

Yes, it looks fine on Chrome, just that Chrome crashes on my phone every 2-3 pages.
Am using the android 4.2.2 built in 'internet' app. That's the screenshot....

I know and I’d recommend using an alternative browser since the one you’re using doesn’t look to be supported to modern internet standards.

Try Firefox for example.

I'd recommend to solve the issue and not offer me installing special apps for fsu only...

I have explained to you that I don't use Android so I can't troubleshoot the issue thus I would still recommend using a browser that is still updated and supports modern internet standards. If that's not an option, I'm afraid there's nothing more I can do. :)
 
Whatever happened to the FSU home page? It used to be that going to www.fsuniverse.net would direct you to a page with pictures of Susanna Pöykiö (cleverly disguised as the Kween), Ekaterina Gordeeva & Sergei Grinkov, Jayne Torvill & Christopher Dean, Maya Usova :smokin: & Alexander Zhulin, and Kati Winkler & René Lohse, but now it goes to the Forum Index. :confused: :yawn: :fragile:
 
I'm still getting an Oops, refresh error message, occasionally - and at least three additional emoticons or more that I've not selected when posting using an iPhone. Also, please never abandon the edit button, as auto-correct has now become a living entity and total beast since the upgrade. It throws out words that are not the typical/standard suggestions, triggers emoticons and directly places this content on to posts that I had never intended to be there in the first place. :oops: However, I can't really see or make a rational connection with it to the upgrade, but I hadn't experienced this issue prior. Weird... o_O Oh, well... that aside, everything else is excellent! Thanks, @Server Guy.

My resistance to using my cell phone just came back with a vengeance. Since I work at home I'm always at the computer and I prefer to communicate on the computer because I type so very fast - in contrast, I find the keyboard on my cell phone torture. It takes me so long to type up a text - about 10 times longer than it would take me to dash off an email.

For what it's worth, autocorrect has nothing to do with FSU or the upgrade. That would be down to your phone. In recent years, autocorrect on iOS devices has become a bit flaky.
