Finlandia Trophy 2025 Rhythm Dance "I Really, Really, Really Wanna Zingas"

Dang. TES is the highest so far (if it holds) even with the twizzle problem for Piper. Guessing they'll wind up in 1st by 3-4 points.

I may hate their costumes but especially compared to everyone else, I love the music of P/P. :respec:

Level 1 midline again...

(ETA Mark is saying "base level" now. Wow.)

Piper Gilles/Paul Poirier 🇨🇦
Coach: Carol Lane, Juris Razgulajevs, Jon Lane
Music: Supermodel, I’m Too Sexy

Sequential Twizzles W:1 M:3 (W:B M:4 after review) - Piper's 2nd twizzle with several balance checks
Pattern Dance Type Step Sequence 1
Midline Step Sequence W:1 M:1
Choreo Rhythm Sequence

Rotational Lift 4

The opening twizzle sequence was rough from both, but particularly Piper. The rest of the performance was better than Skate Canada, but still not sharp, or sassy enough to really make this program shine.

79.56 = 2nd Place

This season gonna be a wild ride. But if Rettstatt isn't in every major comp from now until the Olympics then why will any of this matter?
As many times as he's been the tech controller in this year, I would assume he's going to be at the Olympics.

Alot of iffy moments, but the performance was great. Love the choreo in this program. One of my favorites this season. And love the ponytail-ography during the choreo step and the ending.

Oy, did Mark just say Basic Level Twizzles for Piper?

The TES was the highest thanks to the near 6.00 points based in +GOE for the choreo step sequence that helped the twizzles tiny mistake and some low levels too

They looked like they had two bricks tied to their feet.

And I have no idea what this program is. I don't hate it, but mostly because I don't consider this a RD at all.

Well, I guess it's back over to Midwest Sectionals to see if anyone else falls before the program even starts.
