Finlandia Trophy 2025 Pairs SP-"Hard Flop Hallelujah"

ChtWoz - 3tw - nice; SBS 3t - sooooo far apart but done; throw 3f - fall - throw never had a chance; SBS spins - decent enough - today's bar is low; lift - excellent; BODS - good; step seq - alright - Mark notes they're missing some of the turns and yeah, there's just a bit of sloppiness to it.

I'm glad they kept this SP - I hope they can skate it cleanly in Milano-Cortina - I'll take either the TE or the Pairs SP.

Ioulia Chtchetinina/Michal Wozniak 🇵🇱
Coach: Nolan Seegert, Dmitri Savin
Music: Moderation by Florence and The Machine

Triple Twist
3Tq
Throw 3F - fall

Change Foot Combo Spin 4
Axel Lasso Lift 4
Back Inside Death Spiral 2

Step Sequence 3

Some strong elements, but the fall on the throw, and a few minor issues in a couple other elements will leave them well back in this competition.

-1.00 = Falls
56.55 = 3rd Place

I'm so glad they kept this program, I love Yellow Brick Road. :love:

Speed is about double compared to the Chinese.

The level of this team could be insane if only they were more consistent. :kickass: I sometimes think he could probably find a better partner but not today, she was radiant. :cheer:
Better - maybe, shorter - statistically improbable.

They are amazing, but this program I felt was like a cardio exercise, just running around in circles. I want them to get the A material, they are capable of greatness.

It felt like Chtchetinina & Wozniak are just going through the motions. Really not a fan of this short program, the music is too big for them.

Ioulia and Michal -not their best skate today. She seemed just a tad off in several of their elements. Nice lift though. Not sure why their death spiral got only level 2 but I seldom do know why, so there's that.

EfiMit - 3tw - good; SBS 3t - hand down & step out; throw 3lo - very nice; lift - good; BODS - really nice; step seq - Misha's become so dramatic; SBS spins - good but wound up hitting their closing positions just a bit behind the music.

Throw 3Lo

Pretty strong performance this time out. Aside from the side-by-side they have the strongest elements so far in the competition.

70.19 = 1st Place

Weirdly Finlandia is the first GP that’s geoblocked in Germany, I don’t see the logic in it (can’t be that it’s the only one televised here somewhere cause a friend watched some of NHK Trophy on Eurosport, which I could still stream on Youtube without VPN).

PerMich - 3tw - good; SBS 3t - excellent; I'm sleepy and this music is not conducive to my remaining awake; throw 3lo - nice; lift - also good; SBS spins - bit out of synch but pretty decent; step seq - slow; BODS - good. They don't want to let EfiMit into the last group for the FS, lol.

Beautiful skate with just a synchronization issue on the first half of the combination spin.
