Ok this has been the most WTF qualifying round in a while. Losses and lackluster outings for Germany and Columbia, draws and lackluster outings for Brazil and Argentina, draws for Spain and Portugal ( terrific game nontheless).
So far the most dominant performance has been by Russia, a team that would have been considered long shots.
I mean it's only qualifying rounds but still

There are videos going around Colombian social media/WhatsApp of Colombian fans being impressed with Japanese fans picking up garbage at the stadium before leaving. Given that in the Colombian league people throw bottles and urine and picking litter is unheard of, the people making the video were rather blown away and super impressed by the Japanese fans.

So many own goals in this tournament! Nightmare for Egypt.
