How do we know that any of these women chose their ring? Perhaps they accepted a ring chosen by their affianced?

(i am not picking at them.... i refused a marriage proposal once because the guy gave me a similar ring knowing for 3 years that i like Bauhaus and Modernist designs. I decided he is lacking imagination and observation skills.... which are deadly faults for a partner).

You got it all wrong I did not realize being an Olympic medalist was a requirement to date Andreev serious until all the gossip from this thread.

IMHO, Meryl is the catch in the couple, not Adreev ... but it is fine as long as she is happy and he is pretty.

Congratulations! I love that Meryl, Fedor, and family love Napa and Sonoma too. Also, great choice of Stinson Beach in Marin as the place to pop the question.

We got engaged on Thursday on a hike outside of San Francisco, and even before we had planned on going to Napa and Sonoma with my parents for the weekend

We went on a hike right by Stinson Beach, which was a five- or six-mile hike. One of our favorite things to do is to go on a hike together, so we had the best time. As we approached the water, towards the end of the hike – which was coming towards the beach – I was looking towards the water and I turned around and he was down on one knee.

I also love that Fedor, like Meryl and Charlie, is a Michigan grad. In Fedor's case, a UMBS (Stephen M. Ross School of Business, formerly known as University of Michigan Business School) grad. GO BLUE!
