Big Brother (US) Season 20!

I'm kind of bored so far (but I did enjoy the veto competition)..... :wuzrobbed
Me too. The veto was pretty good. I like the robot. I think it's the only way I like Sam. JC and swaggie are starting to get on my nerves. They are over confident. I like the nerd guy. I wouldn't mind him winning.
Hopefully it will get more exciting. It might just hit them after the 1st one goes home

I'm into this season. Partially because of knowing JC but mostly because there are several really big personalities that came to play. And most of them seem to know the game extremely well. Last year, after about three weeks, it was *very* obvious what order everyone was going to be evicted and Paul was the only one making any kind of moves. So I guess anything would've been better than that.

I was creeped out by Tyler and his eyes in the opening episode but he is extremely wise and reads people as well as anyone I've ever seen in the game. He's also good at steering the conversation to what he wants it to be without having to do so directly. Kaitlyn, as odd as she is at times, also can really play people.

Angela and especially Rachel are getting next to no TV time. In this current episode, I haven't even seen Kaycee on the screen and it's half over.

The only ones I really don't like are Swaggy and Bayleigh. Swaggy seems like he has absolutely no idea how to play the game and Bayleigh spent the entire first week crying and complaining about how nothing was fair when she was potentially going on the block. It's a game- 15 people are going to get nothing. I don't think she gets it.

ETA- Rachel seems to be really well-liked but I think it's hard for the majority of America not watching live feeds to get to know her when CBS hasn't shown her doing ANYTHING.

Rachel looks like the one to beat for the win this season. Very talented, very social, good all around player.

I like JC much better now that Production told him to tone down the lewd antics. He's in a good spot of being the confidant of a people on both sides. I wouldn't mind if he got the app power next week.

I felt so bad for Rachel because she's fun to watch on the feeds, but none of the casual viewers have gotten to know her at all. Kaycee will probably get the crap app next week, and it will be all because she's a nice person who doesn't cause chaos. I hate the way CBS edits the shows. I mean, how many clips of Swayleigh do we need to see? I don't give a hoot about their showmance.

Tony Wheeler- other than my not knowing JC - I could have written that post - ITA.
Tyler is growing on me and is brighter than I originally thought. And I like his power. I hope he does not tell anybody and it would be great if he pulls it out in 7 or 8 weeks. People may think it is over.
True how we do not know some of these people at all. Rachel getting the crap app - is probably due to being unknown vs anything negative. She seemed genuinely hurt.
Whereas Swaggy - what an ass. I want him going next. Just so unlikeable and full of himself.
I am wondering about the folks that are siding with Swaggy - do they not see what he is? If others continue to support him, my opinion of them will fall.
Sam - seems like a nice person, but just not a player that we have seen yet.
Kaitlyn - could be good, not as annoying as I thought.
I have watched every season and part of this seems so predictable. But I hope some good stuff happens to keep us all entertained.

So now I like Sam and Tyler and I can't stand Rachel. She and her auras can go away.

Do you mean Kaitlyn? I can't take her whiny baby voice and me-me-me attitude.

I'm hoping Sam uses her power this week to save the bros and to stick it to Rockstar's group because I can't stand RS.

I can't wait for both Winston and Brett to leave, can't stand "the bros". Kaitlyn is cray cray, but like a trainwreck, it's hard to stop watching her drama!

Bayleigh is tolerable now but there's still something about her attitude that rubs me the wrong way. No surprise that she won most trending. I like Brett a whole lot more minus the 'bro bro bro' because he seems to have a level head and in a way he seems to be letting Winston throw himself under the bus by overreacting to everything.

I could see Sam using her power this week, because it would keep the level 6 + Sam in tact giving them a really good shot to take over HOH next week. If she doesn't use it, the girls need to start thinking about making little sub-alliances because they really could go all the way seeing how it would mean three guys in a row evicted.

I like Kaitlyn's kooky attitude but from what I've read of the live feeds, it seems like she's going a little crazy now and saying too much. I'm sure her aura told her to do it. Still liking Tyler's game but I think too many people are on to him and it's going to catch up.

JC is floating right down the middle of the house and I don't think anyone considers him to be on their bad side. Sam more or less the same.

I tend to agree with Tony W.'s assessments except I've never cared for Kaitlyn. She flipped too easily. Guess her auras/ spirits had problems deciding which way to go.

I got a Twitter DM and a Facebook message from the CBS bot asking if I think Sam should use her power tonight, so they are really pushing hard for it. I hope she sees the light in her DR sessions today!

From what I understand, Kaitlyn is getting a really, REALLY favorable edit by CBS when she has apparently been extremely nasty in the house as of late. Even last night, they teased like she was going to have a huge blowup. But then during the actual episode, they made it seem like she really did have a sixth sense and magically picked up on Brett and Winston throwing her under the bus.

Maybe she does have a great psychic power, but she's not getting a bad edit by any means yet.

Sigh. At first I was cool with her using it but now I'm really indifferent and almost hoping she doesn't. Brett was the one staying calm and collected but the minute Kaitlyn called him out for his own game, he didn't know what to do and probably got shown as the brains to the others.

And what's with CBS automatically choosing Tyler as the contestant on the new show that follows Big Brother before the season even started and then he potentially gets an eight-week safety net from his power app? Hmph.

And as I suspected with my last post, I read in some feed updates that the idea of a girls alliance is now floating around but apparently was already brought out in the open.

Interested to know the views on the Bayleigh vs. JC debate tonight. I have a lot of thoughts but I think it’s a situation where no one is ever going to agree.

I finally watched Sundays episode last night.
Kaitlyn - I just can not stand her and her crocodile tears. She is so phony and full of herself. Hope she is evicted.
Tyler - he is becoming my fav. He is lucky that Sam is HOH, another week where he can keep on the down low.
Sam - I am trying to figure out. In the beginning with the robot thing - she seemed weak, and a few comments made me think she did not get the gameplay yet (had she seen the show before?). But she was thinking strategically during the HOH comp, was fierce and her annoucement in the HOH was so shocking and refreshing. If I was HOH I would not want everyone in my room when i was not there, eating my treats - so I was loving this. But based on her noms - that side is really weak, it may not have that many repercussions?? Depends on who gets HOH next week.

Level 6 - still do not know many of them - it will be interesting to see how things go. They stayed strong with the way they handled Brett/Winston noms.

Who voted for Winston/flipped their vote? Ha ha, Tyler is not even mentioned.
What Brett did in his eviction vote speech - was not nice, and I understand why Rockstar is upset (but too dramatic) - but the repercussions are fricking hilarious.

Re - Bayleigh vs JC
I think JC meant nothing bad. He is not the brightest person, but I think he was truly just making a point.
I get Bayleigh's side, but the way she talks - I am not sure she listens very well. I think she overreacted.
But given what she said about her past, her reaction is understandable. But I do not think she really understands how hard it has been for JC, it was all about her.
Maybe some of my opinion is biased in that I have not been a Bayleigh fan. JC - I feel neutral - but after this episode I am liking him more as a person. Not sure of his game play yet.
I am surprised CBS showed this.

I agree with everything - Kaitlyn, Tyler, Sam.

Bayleigh vs. JC. I think she would not have gone so over the top if he would have said "the N word" instead of saying THE word!!! Every time he repeated the conversation, he said he said the N word, not THE word. And what insulting word did they keep bleeping out about JC. Is there actually something about short or gay people you are not allowed to say on t.v. these days?

Rockstar totally gets on my nerves. Especially having to be called Rockstar. ha ha

I think JC made a big mistake in actually saying the word, but in his head he maybe thought it was acceptable when giving an example or whatever. But he was certainly not trying to be vicious in his using it. And I actually felt bad for Bayleigh and her sob story of growing up, but she *completely* ruined it for me when, after all of that talk about her repeated use of the word for a little person (m—get), she later downstairs in their one-on-one said to JC it would be like calling him a ‘f—ot’ and she DID say the word. Long after her whole argument with him being based on him saying something so offensive.

I understand that words don’t have as severe a meaning when they don’t apply directly to a person. But it bothered me tremendously that Bayleigh seemed to have no sensitivity towards anything besides the word that applied to her. And we can argue all day whether one word has more severity than the other, but the point is she knew exactly what she was doing when she gave him the f-example.

Reading on social media, it seems like African-Americans are complaining about white people being the only ones to defend JC. And that’s an expected reaction. But my problem is that Bayleigh could have told him not to say it and hopefully he learns from it, gone and been upset, and NOT repeated not one, but two derogatory terms. I get one of them being a ‘newer’ offensive term, but she has no argument for the other after telling *him* he can’t say something. Just my view.

Sam’s game completely tanked this week and unexplainably so. She had such an easy way out by nominating two people and not giving a real in-depth reason, and then telling them that whoever goes is gonna have a chance to come back. Instead she went on a rampage against Kaitlyn and oddly Hayleigh and made big enemies in the process. She also revealed she’s closest to JC and kinda shunned Tyler when he asked what she was thinking. I’m all for her doing things herself, but she really complicated an easy-ish week.

As crazy as Kaitlyn is, I want her to either stay or come back if she is voted out. She’s paranoid in thinking of every single situation, but more times than not she’s been on the right track and has no problem addressing issues. Rockstar is just kinda meh.

And I believe JC is the first person to get himself off of the block before it happened in POV ceremony by simply saying ‘I don’t think that’s a good idea.’

That was the best veto ceremony I've ever seen. Tyler's face when Sam said "my best friend.":lol:

Sam going all Aunt Lydia from Handmaid's Tale came out of nowhere. She can say goodbye to America's Favorite Player.

I was hoping they'd show Fessy trying to blackmail Hayleigh with the veto, telling her she needed to stop touching other guys if he used it on her.

I don’t think CBS expected anyone to fail that super simple puzzle challenge, but leave it to Kaitlyn to have a meltdown over 7 pieces.

I imagine we will now have a returning juror competition.

They definitely didn’t expect it, hence why Kaitlyn’s interview with Julie lasted a whole minute before they had to go off the air.

I’m fine with the idea of no one coming back this year. The two other power apps can last so far into the game that I don’t see the need. Last year was a mess with how long it took to actually evict the first few people (aside from Cameron) and how many people actually had to be nominated to get there.

Anyways, disappointed to see crazy Kaitlyn go. Tyler is still getting away with pulling so many strings and being able to stay neutral or divert attention quickly. And maybe it was genius of JC to be the lone opposing vote, because I’m sure it is going to cast suspicion in a lot of directions.

I think Level 6 was so dumb to evict Kaitlyn. She was a big target for everyone if she'd stayed. With Bayleigh winning HOH, they're in a heap of trouble now. If Kaitlyn was still in the house, Bayleigh would've put her on the block for sure. I'm bummed because I find the members of Level 6 so much more likable and entertaining than the dismantled Foutte side. JC is back on my bad side because his constant insistence that Kaitlyn be evicted was a big reason why Level 6 didn't keep her. I wish the Foutte people would wise up and see that he's never been their ally.

I agree that Kaitlyn would’ve been an easy target going forward but some of them probably had the idea that she would win the extra life challenge and then they could try to sway her one way.

I don’t really get JC’s strategy yet but he’s avoiding making huge waves and doing things to make others paranoid of each other. From reading the feeds, it seemed like Bayleigh considered backdooring him for a bit but now it seems once again the focus is off of him.

Tyler is safe once up until the top 8 nomination, but if he has to use his power before that then I think the rest of the house will be eager the very next week to get rid of him. He’s playing a great game, but I have the feeling it’s going to catch up really quickly.

If Angela wins, it will be hilarious. Aside from the first episode a month ago, she’s had NO airtime at all.

Well, neither has Kaycee & I like her a lot. Angela is pretty but doesn't seem to have much personality. Is she different on the live feeds than on TV?

She’s also been shown at a minimum. But from what I’ve read of the live feeds this week, seems like both might get shown quite a bit in the next two episodes.
