What obligation does he have to be a "good sport" about the situation at this point? He's 40+ years past his competition era. He didn't say they weren't a very good team - he was actually quite complimentary of Cizeron and Fournier-Beaudry. He wasn't whining about it really - his tone had a sort of a jokey-folksy "c'mon!" about it. There was nothing nefarious or wishing them ill in it at all.

I don't know about anger but I was kind of shocked they did it. Canada put a lot of money and effort into this team and they just let her go like she was some lower-level skater who never made it on the International scene.

I still hate this program, but they seemed to have skated pretty well, and the crowd certainly got into it.
