I don't know about anger but I was kind of shocked they did it. Canada put a lot of money and effort into this team and they just let her go like she was some lower-level skater who never made it on the International scene.

It makes one curious what was exchanged...

It was so "unfair" was the uproar
It's allowed in the rules. I may have objections but it doesn't make it illegal or unfair

It was 1994 and ironically it was returnees Torvill & Dean that were robbed there.

Skating nice and close together, great blend of technique and performance, handling being on the big stage well

Awake for the last two groups and now done with breakfast. Very excited about Harris/Chan qualifying for the free. Will watch the early groups tonight after work.

Smart/Dieck looked better for the Rhythm dance than they have all season. Lajoie/Lagha good but still don't enjoy that program from them.

Zingas/Kolsenik continuing their upward climb. L/L may end up having to catch up to them next year, but i look forward to a future Canada/US rivalry.

It's quite nice seeing Igor with a promising team again. I never thought I'd say that, I used to absolutely detest him after the L/T days, and then felt vaguely sorry when he lost almost all his teams (and then when even C/B left). I've warmed to him this week after he was so positive in the team event box even though his team weren't in it.
