2026 Europeans - Pairs Free Skate - "Don’t Drop Me Now"

Great score for VouBou and well-deserved. Now, just get them better programs for next season.

He did indeed make it to the carpet which was way better than the couch, although I'd have preferred the kitchen floor for easier cleanup. My cat is a senior kitty in the early stages of kidney disease so unfortunately he throws up somewhat often. But now he's all curled up next to me on the couch looking incredibly cute. :)
Of course he did. I have 2 cats, both 11 years old now, and I swear that it seems that they both would run with their cheeks full to reach the carpet. In "kittydom," a bare floor just isn't the same. ;)

VL/D
3twist
sbs 3toe good
2a she falls out 1a
throw 3loop fall
throw 3sal df
they will drop but it was still a respectable skate for them. Well done with the pressure at home!

VLDigs - 3tw - really nice; SBS 3t - good; SBS 2a+2a - mess from her on the first 2a; throw 3lo - fall; now they just need to hold it together to remain in the top 5; first lift - good; combo spin - alright; FIDS - lovely; choreo seq - sloooooow; throw 3s - two-footed landing; second lift - I remember a time when we were scared of Luke doing one lift and now they're putting lifts as their last two elements and there's no reason to worry; last lift - also quite nice. Well, that may or may not be enough to remain ahead of GhiAmbro, and I hope it is.

Anastasia Vaipan-Law/Luke Digby 🇬🇧
Rank after SP: 5
Coach: Simon Briggs, Debi Briggs, Jason Briggs
Music: Arrival of the Birds, Carry You

Triple Twist 3
3T
2A+SEQ+A* - Anastasia stepped out of the first jump
Throw 3Lo - fall

Axel Lasso Lift 2
Pair Combo Spin 4
Forward Inside Death Spiral 4
Choreo Sequence

Throw 3S - two-footed, step out
Reverse Lasso Lift 4
Hand-to-Hand Lift 4

They couldn't quite carry the magic of the short program through the free skate, but still a good skate, and a better experience for them competing on home ice.

-1.00 = Falls
109.54 = 5th Place
173.52 = 3rd Place

Argh - just behind GhiAmbro. Ah well. We'll see how HocKun do - they're capable of failing down.

Now it gets serious. :watch:Personal preference the podium remains as is, but the top 3 are so closely matched, it's down to the smallest mistakes and who doesn't make them.

That being said, not doing 3-3 combos is sad for elite pair skating.
