Whoops! I was confusing them with Totmianina/Marinin. I prefer to purge 2014 from my brain since Savchenko/Szolkowy only got bronze.

Not at GPs, unfortunately.

Also, I'd like to point out that folks like @AngieNikodinovLove (ANL) and @SidelineSkater are responsible for that last group's collective mess in the FS. They're the ones who prematurely predicted the US teams would finish 6th, 7th, & 8th. Alas, 'twas not to be because, apparently, they forgot just how inconsistent 2 of the teams in the last group are, and that another team was skating on severe jet lag with very short notice they'd be competing here & no coaches. I knew I could reliably count on HocKun to screw it up and I haven't forgotten MetBeru giving a medal away at each of the last two World Championships.

This is the second time Laurin and Etheir medaled at Skate America (first being 2022). They only scored 156.94 then. Good for them for continuing to improve.

Uhm, no, they wouldn't have. I do think they might have beat HocKun here, but they don't have the reputation yet to get the PCS necessary to crack 180 at a GP.

When it first came out it was absolutely everywhere in the lower levels of skating. I'm not quite ready for it to make a glorious return just yet.
