Shaidorov: impressive jumps, but he spends so much energy on those there isn't anything left in the tank for really presentation or the footwork or spins.

On the positive side, he's still only 20 (?) and a nice looking young kid. Hopefully he'll keep developing.

Shaidarov showed how well trained he is to not let the 4Lz fall throw off his timing for the rest of the program. IMHO figure skating has room for both the artistic skater and the athletic skater. A few may be both.

Why is Righini traveling with Shaidarov instead of Urmanov?
