Clare and Bradie had the same jump layout: 3Lz+2T, 2A & 3Lo - Clare landed everything & presented her "Simple Gifts" program very well, I thought; Bradie fell out of her 3Lo, had very fast spins & good attack. I think Kaiser landed 3Lz+3T (eta) yes & 3F< her protocol. Both Bradie & Clare received all level 4s for spins & footwork.

Next is the JR B event for ladies. There are 5 groups. I'm a bad skating fan and skipping over the first few

I like that Bradie's program begins with the layback. You don't see that often and it fits well with the music. Nice program.

Not a high score due to the faulty loop landing but everything else was strong. Great speed & drive!

The jump content is a bit 1995.... Is she going for a 3/3? The double looked intentional to me.

Opening with a layback is interesting and fits the music, but can be dizzying. A lot of skaters prefer to do the layback after their difficult jumps (or sometimes all of their jumps).

Turns out Higase-Chen wins in total with 185. Is this the highest junior score this season?
Yes, but Elyce Lin-Gracey's 179.16 is the highest among the U.S. Junior women on the ISU SB total scores list (this is a Junior B so won't count for ISU SB).

FYI, I posted your video of Logan's SP in the original Budapest Trophy thread where all the non-ISU Challenger events -- Senior Pairs & Junior Women/Men/Ice Dance results & protocol links -- are being posted: https://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/th...r-junior-b-international.111090/#post-6481544

Where was Higase-Chen not on the JGP this season? Her score would have won a medal in every JGP event this season. Why do they keep giving events to skaters like Mia Kalin who hasn't improved much of her skating meanwhile Higase-Chen skates with so much more speed and has nice secure jumps.

@Jammers most likely because Kalin (3rd) beat Higase-Chen (8th) by 12 points at the U.S. Junior Team Cup in July, which was when the initial JGP selections were made (top 6 from that comp. were assigned). There were only 8 JGP spots for the U.S. women this year, and I'm sure Logan was considered (for example, see my post last month re. the final JGP spot in Yerevan): https://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/threads/u-s-women-4-how-dare-you.110065/page-30#post-6473428

Women's FS is the 2nd CS event on Sunday (after the FD & before the Men's FS). Time schedule for the Senior Women's FS (Sunday 13:35-17:36 local/7:35-11:36 am Eastern time): https://hunskate.hu/external/mukorc...----------FNL-000100--_StartListwithTimes.pdf

16:49:30 - 16:55:30 Warm-Up Group 5 [10:49 Eastern start time]
16:56:30 - 17:03:00 22 Olga MIKUTINA AUT 6 61.48

Things got behind during the men's, but the first group of women is on the ice now.

Another rough day for van Zundert. Lots of two-foot gliding around, to the extent that I thought she was injured and stopping at one point! I don't know whether that's all built into the program or she was just under the weather and trying to pace herself.

Seo landed jumps (barely for some) but will get dinged for rotations

Very wonky jump landings for Clare. It's a good tango program and she looks like she enjoys it, but her feet weren't quite under her. Aw, tears. :( Not sure where that'll put her -- let's see ...

Missed the first third of Bradie b/c I was going through my goddaughters' homecoming pics. Sorry. I'm back now.

ETA: Just in time for two falls. :( Oof.

First half looks great, then two falls in the second half. Other elements look sharp so she may still win

Bradie’s jumps: 3Lz not a smooth run out, 3Lo+2A, 3F also not much flow, 3S better landing / 2A+3T fall, 3Lz fall, 3Lo step out.

ETA: Jeremy Allen (based in Chicago, added as her coach this this season) is with her - she wins!
