Some things about the KC game: I think the temp ended up hovering around -4 and the flags on the goalposts were swirling all night long. I think what impressed me about Mahomes is that he was so normal on such an abnormal night. In fact it is the best the offense has looked in a spell. Not that I want to keep playing in this weather….

My big problem with him is his drafting ability. I hope Atlanta has a GM that won't allow him to do it. But he can coach and Atlanta is in a division with the Buccaneers, the Saints and the Panthers who aren't exactly the strongest teams at the moment. He might be able to make noise early.

Lamar and crew looked sharp. No small achievement given that it was 27 degrees (windchill at 13) at game time. I'll be at Nats next week so the champ game will be either during Senior Men or the ex, but hopefully I can follow the game from the arena.
