2022 Olympic FS Team Event delayed medal ceremony - updates

Been crying for 15 minutes straight!
Same! I started crying when they began presenting Team Japan with their medals and I haven't stopped crying.

I recorded it on my phone since Peacock doesn't allow you to record video directly off your computer screen to a screen capture app - I can get the audio but no video. If it doesn't wind up being available in its entirety on NBC Sports or US Figure Skating within the next day then I'll go ahead and upload the recording to my Rumble account and share it.

ETA - it sounds like we had Adam commentating for the USA broadcast, which I also recorded on my DVR, so I can go back and re-watch that as well as record it to my phone if it's better than the world feed.

You can rewind the coverage on Peacock and watch it again - but just for a while. After about a half hour, it stops. It will probably not be available for replay on Peacock. I recorded on TV so I will have it.

Well if it couldn’t be at their Games, that could not have been better. One of the most iconic locations in the world, Olympic rings everywhere, their families in attendance, a huge crowd of fans, photo ops deluxe and a few days in Paris to enjoy it (not going right back to training) !
And far better than a silent Beijing....

I am trying to save this but I can't. I never watch TV anymore, I use my computer or iPad  How does one go about saving something from Peacock to their TV?

you have to screen record it basically

NBC Olympics already has the short clip of Team USA receiving their medals and flowers.

And the Star-Spangled Banner moment!

Given all the B.S. over the last 2 1/2 years, I was shocked at how emotional that I got watching the athletes go out there in front of a big crowd on a sunny day with the glorious Eiffel Tower in the background. Even getting teary-eyed typing this thinking of the huge smiles of the USA and Japan athletes, looks of pure joy that represent the Olympic spirit to me. In the end, these athletes probably got a bigger Olympic moment and more attention than if the ceremonies had taken place at the last Winter Olympics. Not to mention the medal upgrades to GOLD and SILVER adding to the smiles, LOL! I believe today's ceremony was well done.

Shoma really needed to be here with his teammates ice shows are a dime a dozen but this is one in a lifetime experience.
I agree with this. It's hard to believe that any of the organizers of this ice show (or the audience) would have denied Shoma the opportunity to join his teammates for a once-in-a-lifetime Olympic medal ceremony.

It doesn't come across well, sorry to say.

Cute pre-ceremony video from Team Japan!

I don't know if anyone here noticed -- I didn't until someone pointed it out on Twitter -- but Yuma wrote Shoma's name on his hand so he could sort of be there. :)
When Shoma's name was called, Kaori screamed and showed her fingers that have Shoma's name on her fingertips (actually I think all Japanese skaters have his name on their hands).🥰

They had those little towel/scarf/banner things with his name on them in pics before the ceremony, but I guess they weren't allowed to bring them out

I imagine he’s the headliner, so it wouldn’t be easy to pull that off. I’m sure he would have been there if possible.

OK I’m finally able to get to Peacock. The ad says 11 AM today but 11 AM what time zone? I can’t find the tile for it on Peacock. I hope I did not miss it.

Crap, I missed it? I’m looking in replays now.

I’ve been posting in the wrong thread the last 20 minutes… Here where my comments I’ve already made..

I found it under sports, not Olympics, and the tile is called medal reallocation ceremony

Wow, how cool in front of the Eiffel Tower but team Canada needs to be here as well.

When team USA comes out who is the first American? Is that Vincent? I can’t tell… They have to wear these hot outfits in the warm summer sun?

Were these what the Beijing medals originally looked like? They look different
