Here are my Men's predictions:
1) I don't think Morisi will be competing this fall based on his IG - he's busy doing theatrical ice shows
Uno - NHK
Kagiyama - does JPN usually put their top 2 men against each other at NHK?
Pulkinen - SkAm & Finland (because, Finnish heritage!)
Tomono - wherever Uno & Kagiyama are not
Grassl - who knows?
Siao Him Fa - IdF
Malinin - SkAm
Rizzo - he & Grassl get what they get, I think
Aymoz - IdF
Sadovsky - SCI
Vasiljevs - Finland (Latvia's so close!)
Messing - SCI
I think all of the SB & WS Top 24 who are competing get two - but I also don't think there's anything compelling to indicate Brown, Hanyu or Jin will be on the GP this fall, and I expect that Levandi will go back to the JGP and kill it - that leaves Cha, Ma, Chiu, M. Selevko & Sato with assignments.
Jr Worlds Top 3 - like Levandi, I think Shaidorov & Tsuboi will be sent back to the JGP to clean up this fall (prize money and making the JGPF is a legitimate consideration).
SB Top 75 -
2 assignments on the initial go-round - Miura, Yamamoto, Litvintsev, Miyake, Frangipani, A. Selevko, Shimada, Gogolev, Orzel, Hiwatashi & Newberry. **Add Kerry to this list if he does continue one more season - folks in the Aussie news thread seem to think he won't now that there's no home 4CCs to cap his career.
Now, this is where things get interesting, depending on what the GP commission does with those Russians in the WS & SB Top 24 who are eligible for 1 assignment - if they don't give them any at all as some believe will be the case, then I would add S. Lee, Zandron, Egadze & Reshtenko to the list of skaters that receive 2 assignments initially, otherwise, they'll get 1 right away, in order to ensure that host fed skaters ranked further down in SB Top 75 get 2 (Newberry) or 1 (Circelli, Sjoberg & Kapeikis).
Honda is he continuing? I haven't seen anything about him in the Japanese news or music/program announcements threads.
1 assignment initially - S. Lee, Zandron, Egadze, Reshtenko, Circelli, Sjoberg & Kapeikis
Skaters who I think will eventually receive 1 assignment - replacing the Russians who can't compete if they're given initial assignments, or to fill unused host spots (1 each for GBR & FIN) - Majorov, Britschgi, Carrillo, Shmuratko.
Skaters on the Alternates List for assignments as they open up (10) - Majorov, Britschgi, Carrillo, Shmuratko, Starostin, Circelli, Memola, Sjoberg, Kapeikis, Guarino Sabate
ETA - host assignments not eligible for a 2nd - Appleby, Virtanen, Suntsev, & 1 TBD for all 6 events
