Turin, Italy, to host the 66th Eurovision Song Contest in May 2022 ??

The Italian city of Turin has won the race to become the Host City of the 66th Eurovision Song Contest, having triumphed over 16 other competing bids. The Grand Final will be held in PalaOlimpico on Saturday 14 May with Semi-Finals on 10 and 12 May.

I wonder if they even will be considered. But after last year's Jendrik I guess everything is an upgrade.

ETA: After a couple of times the song has grown on me. I hope they make it to Eurovision. I mean it's not like Germany has a great record at the competition and most of Germany's contestants were utter shite anyway.

Germany has won twice and finished second four times which is a lot better than the vast majority of countries have at Eurovision.

As for France, this year's entry are ugh. Some of the live rendition of those song were leaked, and let me tell you it was horrific.

The Swedish and Dutch broadcasters have asked the EBU to revoke Russia's membership (and thereby rendering them unable to compete at Eurovision among other things). Finland's YLE has stated that they will not participate in Turin if Russia is allowed to compete.
