2025 Eurovision

I'm so proud of the greek entry. I thought it was brilliantly staged and if you spoke Greek you'd also be moved by it. Her voice is amazing. There a lots of elements of folklore music so I understand it's not everyone's cup of tea but I wish it would get the appreciation it deserves.

I'd be happy if Austria won. I love the French song but I didn't like the staging yesterday and I don't think she sang it that well.

This is the first time ever I’m really not sure who I’m rooting for to win. There are lots of songs I quite like but wouldn’t say I love.

Out of the ones likely to win I think I like Sweden the best.

Short recap of our party:
  • I had 3 Bingos
  • the effect drinking was mental. Props to my friend T who had "glitter" as her effect and the poor souls who had "dancers" and "fire". I just had "strange props on stage".
  • the food everyone provided was great
  • our party and our guests were awesome, as usual, this time in our favorite pub which is about to close in the end of June :wuzrobbed
  • our ranking, once again, had nothing to do with the actual results (we had 1. Sweden, 2. Poland, 3. Finland)
  • one of our guests looks exactly like Tommy Cash, so we kept telling him to go back to Basel ASAP because he had to perform and win the whole thing, dude actually left before the results came in, soooooo...
  • I am still pissed Sweden didn't win, and I usually never root for Sweden
  • same for Estonia
  • same for San Marino
  • Yksi, kaksi, kolme, SAUNA!

Just had my hangover pizza frutti di mare and 465783453 liters of coke zero and will go back to bed and lick my wounds.

All in all, I am looking forward to this shitshow next year in Austria.

I just saw on KAJ's Instagram that they are doing an ice show in October in Helsinki named "KAJ on Ice".
Could I love them even more?

They are performing at the Helsinki arena. I am afraid it has nothing to do with skating.

The poster explicitly says "on ice" and it's taking place at the jäähalli, so I think it might have to do something with skating. Would be pretty awesome.

Three Eurovision songs in the UK Top 40 this week (?? ?? ??). The winning song from ?? is #53 while ?? is #48.

No sign of the song that “won” the public televote….. :shuffle:

I was watching America's Got Talent last night and trying to figure out why one of the songs they were playing between acts sounded familiar to me. It was Estonia's entry - Espresso Macchiato. :cheer2:
