Liam Kapeikis (trains in Wentachee, WA with his parents and with Keegan Murphy in Richnmond BC) - strong 2nd half of his Les Miz program. :)

not much expression. I was hoping to see Joubert's hair in the K&c. :drama:

After 1st group of 5: Liam Kapeikis USA 161.59 (112.02 in FS is new ISU PB), Arlet Levandi EST 154.65 (104.78 FS), Francois Pitot FRA 154.04 (101.02), Matteo Nalbone ITA 144.64 (91.63 FS), Nikita Kovalenko ISR 132.12 (91.63 FS).

3S1Eu3S good fight!

Amazing skate! Easily the best I've ever seen him do. Gorgeous flow, nice spins, and musicality.

As Chris notes, still lacking some speed and power

 Yeah, I assume it's to do with the story of Tristan and Isolde involving the drinking of love potions, but I think he really oughtta have got some good MIMING into the choreo there!

Yes a quick mime is definitely required!

This program/costume would be totally camp for most skaters, but he totally makes it work. Expression and engagement to the music for days. Tons of choreographic highlights in there.

Such a shame on the jumps, he has nice basics and is expressing this really well

Awwwww that was heartwarming how the crowd and Chris were really pulling for him to pull it together. :)

Tons of potential here!

Nice commitment on ending pose

Good job, nice jumping. However, for me this was the least interesting program of this group.

I have no idea how that (marginally) beats Kokura in PCS. :drama:

Thoroughly enjoyed that group. Some fantastic performances and good skates! :cheer: To be honest I found these programs more interesting and better constructed than what I saw on the senior Grand Prix this year.

It's too bad (from a competition standpoint) there's such a pronounced divide between the top three contenders here and everybody else in terms of technical content, but whatever, go Aleksa, get that fourth place!

Dmitrenko :scream:

I choose to remember him as he was in the early 2000s. We all age, but this look...

I had the same reaction! Would never have recognized him if Howarth hadn’t pointed him out and even then, I had to check the ISU bio to make sure I heard correctly.

Cha has really great basics. Very smooth glide.

That one pop will cost him a few precious TES points in the race for fourth.

During one of the JGPs Ted identified him as Dmitrenmo and we all thought he had just made a mistake.
