Was there any info about why Malinin WD? I hope he's not injured going into nationals?

Liam :( (3Lz fell out, had planned 3T in combo, 2A good, 3Lo fall)

Tammy Gambill (Audrey Shin's coach) is the team coach for all the USA singles skaters here.

Good for Noah! Nice to skate so well in front of a home crowd. Hope all his family is there to watch. And a new PB score! Huth is excited.

Is it just me or there was something strange about Chen's music? Sounds like Fly Me to the Moon was also being played in the background.

I heard that too.

There's been some weird stuff going on with the audio here in general, at various points like an echo.

You always know when the video director doesn't know anything about figure skating when he cuts to that boom camera. At least they put soft bumpers outside the boards

As in pairs, here's the memory of the YOG medalists so far:

2016:
1. Sota Yamamoto
2. Deniss Vasiljevs
3. Dmitri Aliev

2012
1. Han Yan
2. Shoma Uno
3. Feodosiy Efremenkov (who the hell is he? Can't remember at all)

I would have bet anything against him getting a 3T on that combination at the point where he landed the Lutz, but he did it, somehow.

Rakic has that mid-growth look where his legs are too long for his torso, so I'm expecting he's going to be noticeably taller when we see him on the JGP again next season.
