#2 KAETLYN OSMOND : CANADA'S SWEETHEART

I can't access this page. :(

But, she did tweet the following:

Training isn't perfect but I couldn't be happier.First time in over a year landing triple+triples, and triple loop went from bad to fantastic

And the combinations are back !! https://instagram.com/p/3iEnqEy1rP/

:cheer2:

She looks wonderful!

Wishing her all the best in the new season. What a lovely skater with such wonderfui potential. I hope she takes it slow and allows herself to heal fully, though. I don't want to see her reinjure herself.

She's looking strong! Those 3T combinations seem effortless. I hope she has a smooth season, and I wish Canada had three spots this year. I've grown to like the other two ladies and am glad they got a lot of competitive experience last year, but Kaetlyn is my easily my favorite :saint:

I really missed not seeing Osmond at Worlds this year.

Daleman and Chartrand are good athletes, but their programs were so generic, it seemed more about ticking off the elements than giving an actual performance.

I agree that her jumps look much more controlled now than they did before. My only (small) disappointment was that the triple loop wasn't in this set of videos, but hopefully it is still working. I hope this is a great comeback season for her!

I just saw that....she's looking like she's on track and even stronger than she was before! Good for her!

Miss her so much and glad that she seems to be jumping well.

I couldn't quite make out what the music is. Did she announce her programs yet?

I'm not sure that was her music....it didn't look to me like she was doing program run-throughs, but I could be wrong.

Kaetlyn has posted some videos to her facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/KaetlynOsmondCFS). Looking good and strong/controlled after such a bad injury and much downtime.

Kaetlyn looks fabulous! :cheer2: Now we have to keep in mind that these jumps are being done in isolation, but all of them look ready to put into her programs. Everything is much more controlled; you definitely get the sense that she's starting to come into her own. Even appearance-wise she has matured. Looking at her instagram & twitter photos from this past week, I was stuck by what a beautiful young woman she's grown into. :)

IIRC she is keeping her programs from last season - "La Vie En Rose" by Cindy Lauper for her Short, and a tango for her Free. Her first competition will be at Skate Detroit starting on July 22, 2015. She is also scheduled to compete at the Wild Rose Invitational. The Senior Women Short will go on August 1, 2015 and the Free will go on August 2, 2015. Schedule is here: http://skateabnwtnun.ca/wp-content/...Wild-Rose-Invitational-Schedule-of-Events.pdf This competition will be streamed.

All the best to her this season and always....Here's hoping no more injuries of any kind. She's had more than her share of them for certain. Can't wait to see her compete healthy and when she does, nobody is as vibrant and charismatic :)

For anyone who missed it earlier today, Lance Vipond tweeted a video of Kaetlyn's SP from Skate Detroit: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2yxj9e
So good to see her again. :cheer2: About what I expected jumps-wise, but still well worth taking a 1/2 day of vacation to see the performance live. Should score very well with a clean 3F - 3T combo later in the season. Looking forward to seeing her new FP tomorrow!

Great to see K.L again. I don't my Cindy's vocals on this track. I would have liked to see a different outfit on Kaetlyn though.

Thanks for posting the link to the video @shutterbug! I was at work and couldn't watch the live stream so I'm glad there is a video out there. The Cindy Lauper version of La Vie en Rose wasn't as bad as I expected given the comments in the Skate Detroit thread although it's definitely far from my favorite version. I kind of miss the high energy SPs that we are used to seeing from Kaetlyn but it's probably good for her to show some range.

Not my favorite music, but she looks to be in such great shape! She's looking more polished than ever and the skating skills are looking great!!

ICYMI, only Kaetlyn's FP will be shown on the livestream from Wild Rose. This will take place tomorrow (Sunday, Aug. 2) afternoon at 2:15 Alberta time. Here is a link to the livestream: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2zou0h_2016-wild-rose-live-streaming_sport Fingers crossed that a friend or family member will take a video of the SP and post it on her facebook page. Any live reports would be greatly appreciated too! :) The Senior Women's SP is scheduled to go this evening at 7:55 Alberta time.
