Survivor S48

Thank goodness Sai is finally gone. I saw a blurb of an interview with her saying she would have been a "bitter juror" as well. She seems like a completely obnoxious and somewhat delusional human being, and it's great to have her off of my TV screen finally. I liked Cedrek OK, but won't miss him either. The not voting out Shaughin may bite them in the butts in the future though. He's smart.

Yes - Sai is gone, thank you.
I really like Shauhin - but if voted out - would have been a good move.
I am rooting for the strong people alliance - something different.
Kamilla & Kyle - if they made it to the end with no one knowing their alliance - that would be great - and nice to see.
Credrik - seems nice and all, but just not a player, glad he is gone.
I am enjoying this season.

Very glad that it wasn't Kamilla who went. I like the on the down-low relationship between her and Kyle. I wonder if Kyle painted a target on himself though, by opposing her vote out so much. I like Mary, and I think her spidey senses are telling her that Kamilla is more in on things than she lets on. The battle between those two and their alliances, which they both think is the same alliance, is going to be interesting. Star took losing the red ball challenge well. I like her more than I used to. I kind of don't want to see the brute strength alliance win, but it looks like they are going to be fractured at this point anyway.

I thought watching it that Star was noted and quickly forgotten. Especially in the challenge. I can’t decide if that’s good (as in flying under the radar) or bad (as in limited air time), because I rather like her.

I like Star - but she is barely there - poor editing if she ends up winning. Something about her laid back way is nice to see, but hope she is really playing. She seems forgotten in the edit room.

Mary- I agree- she is very observant and seems low key - under the radar. I hope she is really playing - fun to see.
I do like the idea of brute strength alliance as I hate seeing them always get voted out. But as the season progresses and you get to know folks - yes they will implode. I do really like Joe and Eva's relationship - but others need to break that up.
Joe reminds me of Tom Westman (I think that is his last name) - winner from years ago that was also a fireman - strong, reliable guy with good leadership.

Dalton Ross said that Star is so full of energy that she was virtually vibrating in her pre-show interview. He expected her to be much more involved in the story line.

Really enjoyed watching Shauhin and Kyle’s game play this episode. David is too alpha for me so I’m fine with the blindside. His paranoia was valid but also allowed others to paint him as having toxic energy.

My heart wants Joe to win but my brain is cheering for Kyle, Shauhin or Kamilla. David was the last person that bugged me so I will be fine with whatever (until someone new starts to lose it).

I liked the blindside even though I like Mary ok. David going was satisfying. I wonder if the underdogs have a chance to topple the strong alliance, as they may get Kyle’s vote as well.

I imagine Joe has to be the biggest fan favorite in a long time, probably even more than Carolyn was.

I doubt he goes to final 4 but I also feel like maybe we are being set up for a final 4 fire between him and Eva.

Best cast in a long, long time although I feel for Star who is one of the only people floating through at this point, and they are giving her random airtime about learning to swim rather than showing any of her plotting.

David had it all right and I think he was very popular up until these latest reads on the others.

Shauhin being all freaked out about Eva sneaking out of camp and me sittin' here thinking dude .... did ya ever think that maybe the girl just gotta pee? I mean they still do have to go to the bathroom every now and then, don't they?

David was annoying the hell outta me so I'm glad he's gone. I don't like the previews for next week. They better not go after Joe.

Except Shauhin is too smart for that. He even know the most obscure music that they play during the challenges, if you remember a few challenges back. He's studied the game to an insane level, he knew she was on the reward and he knew when she got up that she was on a task to get an advantage.

I think this is part of why I like Survivor so much after all these years and I really couldn't care less about Big Brother now. Survivor finds people wanting to really play the game and people who are major fans of it. Lately I feel like Big Brother-- even with the same casting team-- finds the social media savvy and people who just want to be there to build their own brand, regardless of result. Of course a few come to play, but there are others who come across as not caring at all about the actual game aspect.

And thus explains why I still don't understand this game. I woulda never even given her another thought.

That was such a great camera shot of Eva leaving camp just after saying no one noticed when suddenly the shadow popped up and loomed behind her.

I am not a big fan of seasons where people insist they are playing with integrity and honesty. It's Survivor! So I was glad to see that honesty and integrity are still situational, although I know these people will rationalize it all.

I like Kyle a lot.

Kyle and Kamilla are my favorite duo of the season so far, with Joe and Eva close behind. A lot of good, seemingly solid alliances.

This was kind of a meh, moving things along kind of episode. And unless something really shakes up somehow soon, the strong alliance is just going to march their muscled way to the end.

Which I suspect they will. Hopefully when they face to turn on each other, Kamilla will come out on top.
I see her turning on Kyle, he’s now become too loyal to Joe. There was a lot of foreshadowing of telling no one about their alliance this episode.

I'm kind of tired of the "Strong dudes" alliance, and wish that the underdogs could have taken advantage. Still rooting for Kamilla, her alliance with Kyle is right up there with Joe/Eva. And I really like Shauhin. I guess it's going to be Mitch and Mary next, in whatever order.

I like all the remaining players, including the muscle group.
But Mary had an excellent point. Did chopping all the coconuts lose her this opportunity?
Why did they not take a swing at Joe?
I really like Joe, but some are not looking at their own game. That would have been a great blindside. Makes a Joe or Eva win more inevitable
Joe and Eva, with one of them winning immunity in the next 2 rounds and her 2 advantages are in the Final 4.
Can the others knock one of them out now?
Once Joe says who is on the block- will they play their own game?

What the hell was that with David standing up on the Jury? Like was he supposed to be intimidating those who were left? I predict his vote for the winner will be a total bitter pill vote.

Even though I do like Joe and I'm totally okay with him winning, this really was the best opportunity to vote him out once he didn't win immunity. Once he lost that challenge, I thought it was over for him.

What does the "Knowledge without Power" advantage do again? I know Eva has one Idol and one of those, but don't remember what it does.

Knowledge Without Power - I am pretty sure it is the person with it can Ask a person directly if they have a HII - and they can not lie. Everyone know Eva has a HII - so if someone else went on that journey and won - she would have lost it.

ITA - I like Joe - but just don't get why they didn't take a shot. It makes them all a bit less in my mind now and not as deserving.
And the pagonging will begin with the the last 3 - Mitch, Kamilla and?

I took it as a gesture of respect for a fallen comrade.

I predict his vote for the winner will be a total bitter pill vote.
Yeah, he seems angry in every shot.

Maybe Camilla and Kyle will explain in the next episode. The shot in the preview of Joe being paranoid and Camilla grinning evilly in the background was , but we all know plans revealed in previews never work out.

Wow. It worked. But why did Kamilla vote for Mitch?

Eva can still use her Idol next vote, right? So she is in the Top 4 guaranteed? I don't like that. All Idols and advantages should have to be used final time when there are 6 left in the game, like tonight.

I could feel the seething bitterness oozing out of David right thru my TV screen.

Eva has an idol and she also can leave camp with the safety without power. So she will easily keep herself and Joe safe-- and if one of them wins immunity, she could also give someone else safety by handing them the idol. I don't know how much Joe will be on to Kamilla and Kyle after this vote (and he may very well not sense it at all), but it might be smart of them to pull Mitch through if they do win immunity, and then decide between the other two and break them up.

Kamilla probably voted for Mitch just in case there was some kind of three-way split for votes and/or Eva and Joe caught on to the lie and played an idol for Shauhin. Or to just keep looking like she's completely on the outside and clueless.

Eva’s Safety has expired so she only has an idol.

My thought was that Kamala voted Mitch so her alliance with Kyle would remain under wraps.
Yup, I just read that it expires at 7. I might have missed them even going over it.

I'd like to think if one of Eva or Joe doesn't win immunity that the other three would go after one of them, but then they put the risk up of putting their votes on the wrong person.

But then I also get this sense that Kamilla and Kyle feel like either one of them sitting next to both Joe and Eva in the final may give them the best shot to explain all the things they did to control the game from the start.

Yay Kyle and Kamilla! I love those two, and I really hope they send home Eva or Joe next (and I like Eva and Joe as well, but....) I would love to see Kyle win this whole thing! Shauhin was a smart player, good for them to get him out, even though I liked him. Other than Mitch, all of them who are left deserve to be there and have worked for where they are.
