GPdF 2025 PBP - Free Dance “The Chicken Dance”

I guess someone said something because the British flag is in the arena today. (They mistakenly had the English flag for the past two days.) It’s an entirely different size than all the others though. I’m guessing someone had to go out and buy one. Or maybe order on Amazon. :lol:

Much better program in the free skate, and it fits they're skating style with long smooth edges, and curves.

New costumes for Lilah and Lewis again. Starting to remind me of Piper and Paul with their Barbie program. :lol:

I felt there were a few transitional moments that were a little sticky, and need some work, but that overall there was a great flow, and smoothness to their skating.

The skating is very smooth, and effortless, and as individuals they are both powerful skaters, and that certainly comes across in this performance. Not sure what I'm supposed to be getting from this program.

I watched this program a month ago at the Olympic qualifier, and I don't remember a thing about it. I don't know if the music changed or any of the choreography. They seemed to be skating it well, but it's kind of generic.

I have to say that I want to see Lewis in kilt, and I think that would break up the amount of tartan in the costumes. Nice to see them doing something different stylistically, and they really carried the theme of Scottish culture, and reeling throughout the program.

210.24 = 2nd Place

UGH. I'm so pissed that they aren't likely to dump the RD because THIS. IS. FABULOUS. I loved the assist jumps for maybe the first time ever. This program moves, the intricacy is still subtly there and everything blends wonderfully. So much finish, elegance, absolute mastery of the blades.

Seriously. Everything is choreographed really well IMO.

Depending how this night goes I might be bitching about this result for a long time to come, too. The GOEs certainly aren't over the top and seem to be stuck in the +3 range at best. Meh.

No clue what Diamanti is about, but this looked pretty generic to me. As usual, GuiFab have lovely edges, but I’m finding the overall a bit of a snooze. And I usually favor them.

Well skated for Guignard & Fabbri, but the program is a dud. The elements are great, but the transitions are gone. The program construction is so open. It's just another generic off the rack program à la Papadakis & Cizeron. (Thought, it's much better than their RD...)

And hearing Chris, their PCS is only mid 8s. #dumped

Guignard/Fabbri - Come on guys, be great! You can do it.

Okay. Huuuuuge step up from the Rhythm Dance (and last year's free....) but the levels on the one foot steps aren't going to help. I wasn't enraptured with it, but think it will improve with time. Some of the last quarter looked a little unpolished and didn't like the writhing around on the ice. They skate beautifully and this was a much better showcase for their skills. Hope they can pull up at least a place but depends on what the other competitors do.
