I'm waiting to watch it on a weekend when I don't have anything else to do but binge it. As a lifelong Poe fan, I want to savor it.Did anyone watch The Fall of the House of Usher? Oh my god, I loved it! I thought the framing was perfect, I loved the monologues, and I just loved it. It was gory but I didn't think it was too gory but then, I've seen both Suspiria movies, so take that as you will. I spoiled myself, so I knew going in what was going to happen, and yet, I was still touched, I still cried. I am going to watch it again the week of Halloween. This was my first Flanagan series but I think loved it because of the literary references and Poe.
I few things I noticed was music to "Figlio Perduto" played during some of Frederick's scenes. Thanks to Wikipedia, I know it's Beethoven, but I know it better as "Figlio Perduto" by Sarah Brightman, and damn, I think the lyrics fit. When Madeline told Arthur to bring Verna's eyes to her, I immediately thought of Bai Ling's character from The Crow. Metaphorically speaking, I thought Juno was Rappacini's daughter.
Side note: I need to spoil myself because I stressed out if I don't. I need to know what's going to happen.
I loved it, I loved it, I loved it!
